Welcome to the pack, Teeka!
This little lady took her time warming up. Though still a bit unsure, she can’t resist curling up on a lap—her favorite safe haven. Patience has paid off and she’s starting to show her true personality!

Some dogs just need a little extra calm and patience to help them get through their nail trim. Whether scared or just not wanting it done. Sometimes it just takes that bit of extra time to let the dog know its okay! Muzzles dont mean; bad dog. They just help keep everyone safe and also more often than not help the dog be more calm as well. Theres no shame in having a dog that needs a muzzle whether that be sometimes or all the time. This adorable fellow Hank is no different and is a very good boy.

I am going to share some reasons why are clients board with us. These are listed in no particular order. The comments in Bold, are from management.
We showed up at the kennel, unannounced, and we were given a full tour of the facility, the entire facility. We were shown where our dog would be sleeping, eating, and playing. Note: Most of the time this is easily done, although, we cannot give tours first thing in the morning, or after 4:30 pm, or at very busy times.
Very clean, probably one of the cleanest that we have used.
Our dog was housed in a very large kennel, not a wire or plastic crate. Note: Our inside kennel is 4 ft. x 8 ft. and the personal outside covered kennel is also 4 ft. x 8 ft. separated by a sliding door which is operated from outside the kennel.
Very clean yards. No turf. Note: We have round pea gravel in our yards, this helps with clean up of waste, and helps lower the risk of parasites and bacteria being passed from dog to dog. Turf can be especially difficult to clean dog waste off of.
They accepted our unaltered male dog. Note: Yes, we are set up in such a way that we can accommodate basically any dog. Right from females and males that are not fixed, to the anti social, and so on.
You take my dog outside and play ball!! Note: Yes, we have a large green space behind our facility that we take your dog out to and play fetch, go for a run, or just to hang out.
It was very nice to see my dog on Facebook. Note: We do take pictures throughout the day of your dog and post on our FB page. Be sure to “Like” and follow our page.
Yes, we are a closed facility. Meaning, we do not take in “stray” dogs. All our clients are vaccinated.
We are open everyday. From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Closed for lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. And reduced hours on Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years day.
Innisfail Boarding Kennel was built specifically to be a dog boarding kennel. It was not a shop, or a barn, or an industrial building that has been converted to a Boarding Kennel. It has heated floors, proper drainage, great air exchange, and is primarily built of concrete and steel. Very little wood. Wood is very difficult, if not nearly impossible to clean after a dog has urinated on it.
