The Dilute male and Normal female Rockpebblers have produced a clutch. Unfortunately she doesn't like nestboxes, and has decided to nest on the ground. 3 eggs are developing so far, hopefully the other 2 are fertile as well.

Haven't posted in a while, but quite a bit happening in the aviary right now. This picture is simple, but it speaks volumes. Finally got an egg from the pair of Peach-front conures. This year I have alao got all 3 pairs of Rockpebblers on eggs. Took 4 seasons for them to finally settle in and get comfortable enough. The one pair produces reliably each yeqr, but other 2 pairs couldn't settle in. But it appears all is good with them now.

Not the greatest picture, but this is a Formica podzolica queen collected last fall. She now has 3 pupae and a half dozen larvae. In a week or 2 she will have her first nanitic workers. These workers will go out and collect food. At that point, the colony will really grow. Currently the queen is living on reserves and feeding the first young from these reserves.

Received 3 Red Turtle Doves a few weeks ago, 2 males, 1 female. Just put them outside today, hopefully they will produce a few young this year. Males were busy cooing, so that's always a good sign.
