First and foremost,
We want to thank all the amazing members of our community, whether you donated an item or joined us on Saturday for our silent auction and Santa photos. We had a great turnout this year with over 30 items donated to our annual silent auction. If you are unfamiliar with our silent auction, donations go to The Oakley Foundation . This foundation helps us provide emergency care for animals that don’t have a care provider.

On the last Saturday of the auction we simultaneously run our Santa Photos with donations going to our local food bank. We have been running our Santa photos for 16 years. We get to see a wide variety of animals come in for photos, from cats and dogs to chickens and lambs and many others, in the past years. This year we raised over $200 in monetary donations for the food bank along with food donations from our Santa photos. The silent auction successfully raised almost $1800 which was matched by Poplar Grove Veterinary Services to provide a total of $3600. We also found a home for one of the foundation pups. The staff loves decorating the clinic and getting to see and interact with everyone from the community, we can’t wait till next year.

Chocolate! It’s a tasty treat for humans but TOXIC for pets. Keep furry paws away from this delicious treat this Christmas holiday. If your pet does ingest some chocolate by accident this Christmas season, seek veterinary medical attention as soon as you can. Different types of chocolate are more toxic than others. Just a quick reminder about Santa Photos!

Photos are only happening on December 7th from 10 am to 2pm at the clinic.

No need to make an appointment. We will take everyone on a first come first serve basis.

Donations will be accepted for the food bank.

We are getting excited! The count down to December 7th has begun! Join us for Santa photos on Saturday December 7th and come bid on the silent auction items which go directly to the Oakley Foundation Fund. This fund helps pups like the one below get rehabilitated and rehomed. She might even be available for adoption. Come and give her some cuddles while waiting for Santa, photos will be taken from 10am to 2pm.

All items will be set out in clinic on Dec 2nd for bidding. Bidding will stay open until 2pm Dec 7th.

That’s right, it’s almost that time of year again,
our annual silent auction and santa photos!

We will once again be donating all proceeds from the auction to The Oakley Foundation. And any proceeds from our Santa photos will go to our local food bank.

Items will be posted on here ahead to give some sneak peeks and then be set up at the clinic for bidding starting December 2nd. Bidding ends Saturday the 7th after Santa photos. (From 10am to 2pm)

We look forward to seeing everyone again this year.

We are very excited to be part of a new trial program for lowering the population of unwanted cats and kittens!

Currently it is reserved for barn cats only in our area which happen to be a large source of unwanted kittens every year.

The spay for the female cats will be a significantly reduced price. This program is only offered for one surgical day at this time as the trial is still being explored but if you want more information please contact us at 403-227-4701 and ask about the Barn/Feral cat Spay Program.

Currently the surgical day is Thursday July 14th and there are limited spots but we will be taking on a waiting list if the program is a success.
