Janice Zaremba was the first person to arrive at The Jungle Farm to pick up her CSA Vegetable Box last spring, and this year she was the first to sign up for the program again! Janice and Tony Zaremba are long time veggie box customers, and they even incorporated long bike rides from Calgary into their pick up every week! This season's entire CSA Vegetable Box program is still available at 2024 prices until the end of January.

Like many farmers, Leona's dad Gerald kept track of the day's events on a monthly calendar. On this day, January 16, 1975, were the simple words, 'Moved to Big House'. Until then, Gerald & Betty Quantz had raised their four kids in the little white house that you can still see through the trees along the lane into The Jungle Farm.

Melissa from Red Deer was happy with the extra Brussels Sprouts in her autumn vegetable box, because tradition has it that her kids twist off the veggies for Thanksgiving dinner! There are several times through the growing season when there's an abundance in our fields and CSA participants can top up their weekly vegetable box. We are honouring 2024 CSA program pricing for people who sign up before January 31!

Good news for folks who are missing all that holiday shopping! Gasoline Alley Farmers' Market reopens tomorrow, January 3, from the Christmas Break. Plus it will be Seniors Discount Day at Gasoline Alley Farmers' Market! On the first Friday of every month, seniors (60+) qualify for 10% off purchases from participating vendors at the market.
