As we ease into Fall, a day out at the farm with your wee familly is the perfect way to spend a morning or an afternoon!

A few tips to help make your visit fun and stress free:

~ It is a good 10 minute walk from the parking lot to the strawberry field where we are u-picking. If you are unable to make the walk, we have plenty of ready-picked produce (and lots of other goodies) in our General Store!

If you are u-picking, please:
~ Come prepared for the walk with closed-toed proper walking shoes (no sandals or flip flops)
~ Bring a hat, sunscreen, insect spray and any other personal items you need to be comfortable
~ We are a working farm, so please watch your children as there may be farm machinery at work
~ Please leave your dogs at home - we cannot allow them on the farm

Ta Da! One of our General Store staff picked and pickled some Jungle Farm peppers last week! Banana peppers + jalapeños + fresh garlic = a tasty addition to the pantry.

Our first tip is bringing your kids to the farm to actually PICK the fruits and veggies that will go in their lunch! There is so much evidence that involving your children in meal planning and preparation has them more invested in eating their lunch. Ensure that they can open all of their containers and don't overwhelm them with too many choices.

Welcome autumn! Fall officially arrived just a few minutes ago and it's our favourite time - guests to our farm can pick juicy luscious strawberries AND fun giant pumpkins all in the same visit!

🌾 Tips for Visiting Jungle Farm 🌾

Planning a trip out to the farm? Here are some helpful tips so you can make the most of your visit:

👟 Footwear
• Wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, especially if you’re picking strawberries, veggies, or pumpkins.

🧤 Gear
• Bring gloves if you’ll be picking veggies or pumpkins.
• Parents: A wagon or stroller is handy for little ones.

🍓 Strawberry Patch
• The strawberry field is about a 10–15 minute walk each way, depending on your pace.
• Plan to be here at least an hour if you’re picking strawberries.
• Note: The strawberry patch closes at 3:00 pm, so come early if you’d like to pick!

🕒 Best Time to Visit
• We recommend arriving early in the day if you’re planning to pick, so you don’t feel rushed and have plenty of time to browse the barn.

THANKSGIVING BOX DEADLINE!

This is your chance to get one last box of locally grown fruits and vegetables from our farm. This box is larger in case you are entertaining for the holiday. If not, don’t worry as all the vegetables will store for 2-3 weeks for your family to enjoy throughout the month of October. Pick up dates for this one week box is October 9 or 10, 2025.
