Haskap berries almost done! What we have in our Farm Fridge is what is left from all the pickin's! Price is unchanged at $10 for a full pint basket (2 1/2 cups)- almost half the price of anywhere else. When they're gone, they're gone until next year.

It's rhubarb season again! We should have fresh rhubarb daily for the next 3 weeks or so. Price is the same as it has been for the last 3 years! $6 for a 2 lb bag

We've also bottled up more apple cider vinegar, have a limited supply of "tapped on the farm" maple syrup AND decadent maple butter!!

We are very pleased to announce that the award-winning Celtic band, Arise & Go, is once again giving a St. Patrick's Day house party concert at Loughborough Orchard next Sunday. And yes - there will be cider served! You may recall that this band entertained everyone at our first Open Farms Event. Seating is limited to only 40. Tickets available through Eventbrite.

Wishing all our neighbours a wonderful holiday season, and all the best for 2025. Thank you for a great year!

We still have a few pots of our delicious apple butter available (perfect for a small gift), and about 80 jugs of 2 litre cider and 80 jugs of 1 litre cider.

Hot Mulled Cider: gently simmer 1 litre of apple cider with a stick or two of cinnamon, a whole mandarin orange (poke holes in the skin) or some slices of regular orange, a few whole cloves, a star anise tossed in if you have it and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Delish!

It's happening! We are pressing all our fresh cider for the year this weekend. Although UPick Season is now officially over, Cider Season has just begun! All our fridges and freezers will be full, for sure. Did we mention that our cider was the Silver Medalist for the entire province at the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention for 2023? Please forgive us if we continue to mention that :)

The public is welcome to stop by, see the cider press in action, grab some cider, enjoy our farm, hiking trails, and super-friendly animals.

Orchard Update! Both of our orchards are almost picked clean! We have about 5 trees that have apples WAY up high. But we've got poles for anyone who wants to pick-their-own apples from the treetops!

In our Farm Store we have lots of already picked apples, apple sauce, apple cider vinegar, our very popular "Almost Good Enough" processing apples, pickles, relish, mustard, apple leather and freshly made apple juice. Everything apple is organic, as always

Fresh Cider pressing will happen within the next two weeks!

Ready to pick? Although we are still recovering from a disastrous year last year, our trees have apples for you! Not a ton ... a bit spotty ... not big (SO hot this year) but always organic and delicious. Come on over any day between 11 and 4. It's "self serve" during the week, and volunteers ready to assist you on the weekends. Large "apple bags" are inside the Farm Store on the table. $25 per bag and fill as full as you like.

We have two orchards: a very large orchard on your right as you drive in, and a smaller orchard on your left as you head towards the barn past our house. The smaller orchard has more apples! Heritage Mac, Spartan, Canadian Red Atlas and some trees that we have never been able to identify.

We have just picked our organic pears and, in very limited quantities, they are bagged up and in our fridge on a "first come, first served" basis. $8 for a 3 pound bag.

Pears ripen from the inside out. Let them finish ripening on the counter (a hint of yellow means they are ripe) or let them ripen in the fridge for a longer period of time.

We have (in very limited quantities), rhubarb, fresh dill and cilantro, strawberries and haskap berries. When researching the price of haskaps in Ontario, they were over $27 a pound! A teeny tiny basket was $9.00 YIKES! Ours are nowhere near that expensive, but we do not have that many.

The baby apples are doing great and we're hopeful for a wonderful fall full of apples!

If you stop by, be sure to walk down the road to our barn and say OINK to our super-cute, 3-week-old KuneKune piglets!!

Looking for something to do today? The two choirs I direct (the Frontenac Women's Chorus and the Melodia Chamber Choir) are performing a Fundraising Concert for the South Frontenac Community Association today at 2:30pm! Children 16 and under are free; all others are $25 payable at the door. Location: Harrowsmith Methodist Church. Come join us for a fun-fulfilled afternoon of music and help raise much needed $$ for the SFCSA.

FRESH, ORGANIC apple cider just pressed! On Monday it will all be flash frozen, but until then, our fridges (and two of our freezers) are full! Cider keeps indefinitely when frozen. Fresh, unfrozen cider, stays delish in a cold fridge for up to a week. Pop on over to our Farm Store to grab yours today! Our prices have not increased - still only $5 for a 1 litre jug, and $10 for a 2 litre jug.

Only a few bags of "Almost Good Enough" processing apples and regular "People Apples" left for this season! Lots of innovative and fun apple products in our Farm Store are available.
