Come by our stables just a few minutes from beautiful downtown Jasper in the Canadian Rockies! Follow the signs for Patricia and Pyramid Lakes, apprx 4km.

All staff and horses have been evacuated and are safe ❤️ Thank you so much to RIVER VALLEY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY FORUM and Hinton Search and Recuse for hauling the rest of the horses to Hinton today. We are so grateful for all the volunteers and RCMP who made it possible for this to happen. Hope everyone is staying safe out there.

Meet our guide of the week, Jack! Back for his second year, this Jasper local can be found out on the trails at our Jasper Park Lodge location sharing his expertise and love for horses.

Our JPL location offers 30 minute, 1.5 and 2 hour trail rides past a variety of beautiful lakes, forests, and rivers. With so many trails, there's something for every skill and comfort level!

Emily and Hawk spent their summer guiding at Jasper Park Lodge, but now you'll find them on the trails at Pyramid Riding Stable for the remaining season.

And Pyramid Stable is open until mid October, offering hourly trail rides for all levels of riders. Check out our website to reserve your saddle!

Any guesses why our horses wear a face mask for trail rides?

ANSWER: While on the trail, it's like walking through a candy store for horses (they would love to EAT and EAT and EAT)... And you most certainly won't make it back within the hour if they start snackin'. So to make it easier for our guests, and to keep our horses more focused, you'll see them rocking these face masks during the ride.

For the "Happy Trails" ride you have to be at least 6yrs of age to participate. HOWEVER, if you have a little one under 6 we do offer pony rides.

A pony ride consist of a 10min walk around the stable with a guide leading the kid-friendly horse.

Anni has been riding for most of her life and would love to share all of her knowledge with you! Anni is from a small town in Ontario, and she has a long drive back at the end of the season. Catch Anni now before she heads back!!

Here’s another friendly face for you all! Another Lodge staff member Kelsey, with her guide horse Storm.

Kelsey is from a small town in Ontario and has been riding for 16 years now. She has lots of experience in both the English and western riding worlds and loves to talk about anything to do with horses, as well as all of the things she has learned here in Alberta about the landscape.

Come on out for a relaxing ride through the mountainside with this pair, you’ll be glad you did!

To start off our Lodge guide introductions, here is our lovely Maria and Ellie!

Maria has been riding from when she was just a baby. Her mom had her hooked on ponies since she could say ponies! Maria has owned her own horse for 6 years back home in Newfoundland, so feel free to ask any horsey questions you may have!

Be sure to swing by the stables this summer to have a fun and relaxing ride through the countryside. Maria and her guide horse Ellie are so excited to meet you all!
