Paco at Home Depot
I can't get enough of this boy. Paco is here for one month of training (out Royal Treatment program) before leaving on Friday to his forever home.
This is little River (Purple litter, previously Royal) playing with her new brother Rigby. Aren't they just the sweetest playing so kindly? Rigby is so gentle with her. π₯°
Puppy Cart!
Paco (previously Fig of the Purple Litter litter) is not fully vaccinated, so I don't let him on the ground in places where a lot of dogs frequent, like a pet store. But that doesn't stop us. Enter the puppy/ shopping cart solution.
P.S. Notice he is on a leash to make sure he can't jump out and hurt himself or have a bad experience.
Paco is so max relax! Today is a feild trip to Chapters. We are sitting outside watching the people come in and go. When people come up to me and ask me if they can pat him, I mostly say no. "sorry, he's just learning that he's safe with me for now" . It's not that I don't wanna share my puppy! I just want to Paco to understand that he doesn't have to be on guard for unexpected pokes and prods while he is in a busier space, that he is safe and I'll handle the stressors as he builds his confidence.
When we first got here he was barking a bit and jumping when people would come out the door, wondering if they were going to approach him. Now he is calm as people walk by, completely at ease.
I'm so lucky to have these balls of love as part of the morning routine. Hard to believe the purple litter will be off to their forever homes this week - but they are so ready π₯°
The purple litter
8 weeks old and ready to take on the world!
When the weather is nice the puppies go outside on the front lawn to play on the grass and their pen. Up until now I've been carrying them across the house but here's me trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) to convince them to follow me as a groupπ
The puppies are almost 6 weeks old and they're in the homestretch now. All their teeth are in, they've been dewormed again, yesterday they had baths and nail trims. They are cautiously exploring and growing every day. They are such a special and beautiful litter.
It's harder to get good video when I'm by myself with the puppies and no one to hold them as at this age they all simultaneously want to bite my toesπ. But I figure imperfect video is preferred for the excited and happy families waiting for their puppies, so here it is!
Grass!
The purple litter goes out side for the first time!
