A young couple called about a puppy. They were 9 days old and they insisted on driving from. Salmon arm to see them. Isabella picked Missy out immediately. I was sceptal just because the couple was so young, but over the weeks to follow, they completely impressed me with their dedication, compassion, and willingness to do research. Isabella and her family drove biweekly to be here on my doorstep at 9 am sharp to see Lil Missy and watch her grow. It was impressive to watch a couple in their 20s be so progressive and have a great start for their future. This young family will be amazing, kind and they won't be 'dog owners' they will make Missy part of their lives. They will do the work it takes to build an amazing,ing foundation. I'm so happy Missy found them. Only second to Jennifer and Lacey !!!

For the past 14 years this girl had been my friend, my resting buddy on warm fall days, the lap where I read my book, the spot I dream about a fair and kind world, the safe, warm place I come up with new ideas. This morning in the meadow, I thought these thoughts:

Trust with horses is a two-way path.  Give trust to get trust.  Be secure enough to ask for trust. Be kind enough to commit to trust. Celebrate victories when you have a well-worn path.

TONIGHT AT THE HOSPITAL THIS WAS THE DINNER. !! IM NOT SURE WHAT TAXES WE PAY THAT GIVES US SO LIL MONEY TO SPEND ON NURISHING THE BODY. CLEARLY HEALTHY EATING IS NOT A UNIVERSAL PRIORITY. WHY DO WE TOLERATE SUCH GARBAGE? I AM PAINED FOR THE POOR FISH WHOS LIFE WAS CUT SHORT TO END UP HERE ON THIS DISMALE TRAY. IM SAD FOR THE FISHERMAN WHO BARELY EARNS ENOUGH TO CATCH THAT SORRY FISH. WHERE IS THE JOY IN HARVEST OF THOSE POTATOES, THE FARMERS NEVER TOUCH THE EARTH ANYMORE, THEY ARE SO DETACHED FROM THEIR PRODUCTS. THE GMO SEEDS ARE STRIPPED OF THEIR BIOLOGY.
