Very sad to have had to say goodbye to Walter today. He was such an gentle, friendly soul. We are so happy to have been able to give him a wonderful retirement home. He will be missed by everyone here at the farm

Very sad day.....having to say goodbye to Nicki. Such has been such awesome dog. We can honestly say she never did ANYTHING wrong. Her passion in life was to chase bunnies (snowshoe hares on our property). She of course never caught one, but it was all about the hunt and the chase! She will be sadly missed. Tonight we know she is smiling down on us with her lovely smile.

Here we grow again...our flock of laying hens have arrived!!!! Frizzle the rooster is quite happy with his new harem!!!

We currently have one opening for Pasture board. The $325 per month board includes a heated tack room with individual lockers, an outdoor arena and lovely paddocks with shelters for grooming, vet visits etc. Our pastures provide excellent summer graze and good quality round bales feed is provided in winter months. On the treed hillsides there is a lovely network of riding trails and the property has access to endless riding opportunities on crown land.. We have a small herd and a non-competitive, supportive environment. If you feel this would be a good fit give us a call 250-573-2040.

This is such an awesome program!

Do you have extra fruit or veggies from last season in your freezer that are being neglected? This week, to use up some 2021 frozen apples, we made some tasty applesauce! Now we have a shelf-stable product to use in future kitchen workshops and for our volunteers to take home. Neat.

The other day I jumped in my car, turned it on and the first thing that came through my speakers was … “ so what, are we going to create a Yoga Barn or something” I couldn’t help but laugh at this. Of all places where a podcast was playing it jumped to that, and I actually really love the idea. I want to create a space where our community can connect, I know the word Yoga can seem daunting but to me Yoga is forming a deeper connection to community and a safe space to land within. Admittedly I feel sadness on how much division is happening in our world, and re-reading the same message over and over again we are all looking for something to bring us together.

Throughout September I decided to offer an Energy Healing Series one class a week on the farm surrounded in nature, visits with the horses and most importantly that sacred space where we can simply be. These sessions will be a combination of all the things Yoga, meditation , energy healing, sound baths, and special guests to support us along in this journey.
