A lot of people think cats can be “stand-offish” and don’t show affection, but it just isn’t true. Cats show their affection in many beautiful ways; you just need to know what to look for and create an environment where they are comfortable doing so.

If you are a new cat guardian or just wondering what your cat really thinks of you, these are some of the ways your cat shows you that they love you. Remember, don’t try to “force” your cat to be affectionate. It is a case of letting them make the first move. Not all cats behave in the same manner and a lot depends on how much socialization they received at a young age.

🚨 Stray Alert! 🚨

This young, male dog was found running alongside the highway near Monte Creek! He was picked up by a good samaritan and we are hoping to reunite him with his guardians! He has no permanent identification such as a tattoo or microchip and was wearing this distinctive leather collar (pictured) with no tags.

This 3-year-old Cane Corso may look like a tough guy, but don’t let his size fool you—Rhino is a big love bug at heart! ❤️ While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate and loyal. Rhino forms deep, lasting bonds with the special people in his life.

Smart and eager to please, Rhino is a treat-motivated learner who loves showing off his tricks! Whether he’s running through fields or chasing after toys, this energetic guy knows how to have fun. And when playtime is done, he’s more than happy to curl up on his bed and soak up some cuddles.

Rhino is a bit particular about his canine companions—he’s not a fan of intact males and can be reactive at times. Slow introductions will be key for him to make doggie friends.
