I first met Sumo when he was in training at The Brazilian Dog Guru Facility in Kamloops. The minute I saw him I just knew I had to groom this magnificent boy. I had the opportunity to do just that very thing and fell in love with this big, loving dog. Very unusual breed not often seen here, he is 50% Karakachan shepherd. Thank you Doreen for allowing me to work with him.

NEW INTAKE - MARSHMALLOW šŸ„°

Thatā€™s right, a new pup has joined the SNARL crew! This adorable 6 year old tiny guy is Marshmallow and he is cute as a button.

Marshmallow has IVDD after jumping out of a car last spring and is a total pro in his wheels. He is pain free, well accustomed to wheelie life, and gets around great both in them and out of them. He joined us in Calgary last week all the way from California and happily traded in the beach for some snow and a sweater ā„ļø

Heā€™s been decompressing beautifully since his arrival, has passed his cat and dog tests with flying colours and is very much a classic little lap dog. He enjoys naps on cozy beds, walks, snacks and is a low energy pup.

Marshmallow remains on intake hold while we continue to get to know him. Foster to adopt inquiries are being accepted for him in the Calgary area. Send us a DM if you are interested! ā¤ļøšŸ¾

Is it a plane? is it a bird? is it a snowstorm in September? Oh the glamorous life of a pet groomer. This is one of those times when the fur flying is a good thing.

If you listen carefully you will hear the sonorous snores of Timmy. He obviously finds this groomer very boring

Freida is an incredible dog. Here she is being walked by my four year old grandson. Gabriel is just starting to talk so we are working on his speech volume for commands like heel, sit and leave it. Freida is a willing victim and very patient with him. She loves that Gabriel sits too when he tells Freida to sit. Guide dogs are becoming increasingly common in working with autistic children as evidenced by the Purina walk for guide dogs this year. There were two there from Kamloops. Just last year Gabriel was frightened of dogs. Look at him now!!!! Progress from hard work by his mom and interventionists.
