Well, our girls are back from their spay day.
I bet if they knew what a spa day was, they would have wished it had been that instead.

Poor little ladies.

Pinky is acting like nothing happened and eating and moving around like she always does with her shocked face.
The triplets; Danny Zuko, Sandra Dee, and Rizzo, are OK but definitely feeling a bit on the sleepy side.
Then there's Spring, the tiniest of them all who is feeling it the most. She's looking like I did after dental surgery with sedation. I had to give her critical care as she was the only one not eating nor pooping yet.

I've got the cameras on them for the night and will be checking every few hours. Tomorrow, everybunny should start to be feeling a bit better, except Pinky; she's already there, lol.

Today's vet visit brought our balance up to $3001.00

There's two more girls left, and we're done!!!

6 am. is not early, but when you've hardly slept all night, it's too soon to wake up 😴😢

Exciting news!!!!

Our physical planners are NOW available for ordering!!!
They look AMAZING!!!

Planners are $20 payable to [email protected] by etransfer.

Once they arrive, we will privately notify everyone that they are ready for pick up.
We are estimating about a week or two max for them to come in.

It's the first of November, and that means it's time to say...

As much as I love my Creampuff, she's been ill and injured over and over again in the last couple of years, and she eventually will not be worth fixing.
I'm looking for a new to me vehicle; most preferably, a van (oh my god, what did I just say 👵)

I'm asking that if you or someone you know happens to be selling one that you could let me know. I can't spend an arm and a leg, but maybe a finger and toe.

Hopefully, with your help, I can find something reliable to help get around and further assist rescue tasks that require a vehicle.

Today begins the "month" of the last 9 rabbits to be spayed/neutered. I'm calling it "The Road To Home".

Our bill at our vet is currently just over $700 after all 9 bunnies went in for their pre-surgery check-ups.

Today's surgeries will add another $600 approximately to that bill.

Monday will be a doozy taking 5 female rabbits in for their procedures, which will add another $2000 on top.

Then, on the 15th, the last two girls; Zee and Dee, will complete this journey.

There's 1400 followers on this page, and if everyone donated $5 towards this huge invoice, we'd be able to cover it clearly.

Well, it's official!!!

Frenchie and Fluffy are bonded ❤️

(Cue the high-pitched excitement squeals!)

After a couple of days of letting Frenchie recover from her gas attack last week, we let the bonding process continue.

Frenchie and Fluffy were destined to be together. From early on, they would go to each other's enclosures and wait for the other to groom their heads. Very soon after we started seeing this, they were moved side by side.
As soon as Frenchie was well enough after her spay, we began the bonding process. There was never one single fight. The only problem was Frenchie did NOT want to be dominated by her brother... YUCK!

Fluffy got over that, and they have been the cutest duo each time they were together.

We're just so happy about this pairing and hope that someone will come along and sweep them off their furry feet and love them forever 💕

We were contacted by a lovely human who volunteers for Pumpkins for the Planet initiative, organized by the Ottawa South Eco Action Network. They redistribute pumpkins after Halloween to reduce waste.

We couldn't use them as our animals don't eat pumpkin, but I did ask how one can donate their pumpkins to this initiative.

She kindly provided me the website, and I wanted to share it here with you in case anyone would like to donate your pumpkins after Halloween.

🌈Squiggs has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I swear that I heard what sounded like more than one guinea pig wheeking as I got out of my car returning home.
We can't thank Julie enough for helping us, help Squiggs.

We come to you again, needing your help.

Our dear, sweet Squiggs is at the end of life.

When Squiggs came into our care, he was with his brother Parm. Both were already seniors, being just over 6 years old.

A few months passed, and very suddenly and quickly Parm passed away one evening. There wasn't even time to get to the vet.

I never shared this photo of the evening Parm passed. It was private and personal. I wanted to capture it, though, to show that animals have true feelings and emotions. Immediately after I took this photo, Parm left us.
The look of pure sadness in this photo has stayed ever present in my mind.

It's time for Squiggs to be reunited with Parm. He's 8 years old and has fought so hard after Parm left. He's been such a good boy; so strong.

Now, though, it's his time. He's not eating, not walking well, and mainly resting.
We need to send him over the rainbow bridge.

If you can help at all to give Squiggs the peaceful passing he deserves, we would be ever so thankful.

The estimate at both emergency clinics in Ottawa are both $400. 😢
