It was a big week for Maxine's Wings of Fire litter. Pups move out of their whelping box, started litter training and started their intro to soild food.

Meet "Legacy Cockapoos CedarWood". The Guardian home we had lined up for beautiful Cedar fell threw. So we are once again looking for the perfect family for her that is interested in becoming apart of our guardian Program.
Cedar is a very outgoing ,curious ,affectionate, playful, sweet and very affectionate little lady. She is very intellegent and eager to please. She is non-shedding multi-gene Cockapoo and has a curly coat type. She should mature mini sized. Cedar tested very high for a potential service candidate. While we do not allow those dogs in our Guardianship program to work as service dogs while in our program it is the ideal temperament we look for in our dogs. Congratulations to all our new puppy Families. After our selection day today we have 3 pups remaining and we are accepting applications for these pups at this time. Still remaining are Moss, Juniper and Birch, all 3 of these pups are absolutely amazing ! all 3 would make Ideal service candidates via their temperament testing results. New Photo's of Posey's litter have been posted on our website as well as the litters temperament testing results. Only 1 more week until go home day. Time has truly flown by with this litter. This litter is super confident out going social , and eager to please there is not a puppy in this litter that would not make a good potential service candidate. and that is so rare to get so many amazing pups so well suited in one litter.

Birth Announcement!
DOB Aug 1st, 2025
Maxine has given birth to a litter of 9 pup via emergency c-section. Sadly we lost 3 of those pups. Maxine is doing great and her 6 remaining pups are very healthy and doing awesome.There are 3 boys and 3 girls. It has been a while since I lost a pup and to loose 3 has been a hard blow. It just reminds us how fragile and precious life is and to treasure every moment.
We will begin contacting those on our waiting list in a week or two.

New Photo's Of Posey's Forest Litter have been posted on our website we still have a couple openings at this time. these litter cuties are such lovely and amazing pups. They are going so quickly and seem more advanced than a typical Legacy Litter. These pups are very curious and outgoing and extremely affectionate and oh so smart they have already nailed there potty training to the litter pan.

Preventing unwanted litters is a goal we all share—but it's time to rethink the surgical approach. Hysterectomies and vasectomies, which preserve hormonal balance, can safely be performed as early as 8 weeks of age, making dogs sterile without disrupting their natural hormones.

In this study, researchers looked at whether the age at which dogs were spayed or neutered, meaning how long they were exposed to their natural s*x hormones, affected how healthy they were in old age. They studied a group of long-lived pet dogs to learn what helps dogs live longer, healthier lives. Dogs with the fewest age-related health problems were considered the most “robust.”

The results showed that both male and female dogs who kept their hormones longer (i.e., were spayed or neutered later) were 3 to 10 times more likely to be healthy in old age compared to those altered earlier. Once hormone exposure and age were taken into account, there was no difference in old-age health between males and females.

This study highlights how important s*x hormones may be for staying healthy later in life and shows that early-life decisions—like when to spay or neuter—can have long-term effects on health.
