She was my saving grace when I was working at the college and I always came home to an incredibly happy and content dog!

This sweet girl is Yogurt 🥰

Before Yogurt was even a year old, she was bounced around and in 6 different homes. But now she is in a loving home with awesome owners who love her and want to invest in her well being for the long term.

Yogurt is here for Dog Reactivity, Resource Guarding, Jumping, Pulling, and basic obedience.

With a little one on the way, Yogurts family is wanting to get all of this under control now for the changes that will soon be taking place in the home.

This serious boy is Lincoln, and he is here taking advantage of our 5 week program for human reactivity with a bite history.

Sometimes it's assumed that a dog is innately "bad" or aggressive when there is a bite involved, but that's rarely the case as true aggression is very uncommon. Most bites are the result of a dog that is scared and pushed past their limits of what they are comfortable with. And nearly all of them are avoidable.

Having spent a considerable amount of time with Lincoln, he doesn't go out of his way looking for trouble, but he's fear reactive so with a combination of training, advocacy and proper leadership, there is no reason for Lincoln to be of any risk to anyone who is respectful of him and his comfort zone.

We are working on:

✅ Human and Dog Reactivity on walks.
✅ Leash Manners
✅ Reliable Off-leash Recall
✅ Place Command for when there are visitor in the house

Solo is a little dog with some big reactivity, especially when it comes to other dogs.

He's a very insecure boy, and when he gets worked up he takes it out on the other dog he lives with.

And while Solo doesn't come with a bite history, his owners are concerned that it might happen. He isn't what we would classify as human reactive, but he is very fearful when meeting new people so respect for his comfort zone is all that is needed. He'll close the gap when he feels ready and once he trusts you, you'll know because he'll be batting those big brown eyes at you 😍

It all started with Loki and Luyi who just couldn't get along.

Then an unfortunate turn of events forced their owner to look into boarding options while essential repairs took place in the home.

When the cost of boarding somewhere else isn't that much cheaper than our cost to Board AND Train, taking advantage of our program is a no-brainer!

Pictured here are Kilo, Pyro, Tofu, Luyi and Loki! Each dog has a unique personality, and as such our training will be altered and catered to not only their specific needs, but also to help their owner manage their ongoing training more effectively.

When it comes to these two, the gloves are off and it's go time all the time!

Luna is a lovely girl but along with scrapping with her big brother, we will also be working on excessive barking, jumping, and overall fearful reactivity to anything that makes a sound.

With Juno, well be working on dog and human reactivity, excessive barking and jumping, bullying Luna, and separation anxiety.

Electra arrived yesterday, and is on day 1 of her new beginning!

Patience is a virtue and we are going to respect Electra and give her a chance to decompress and learn to trust us before we start asking things from her. It won't be long before we really learn who Electra is so that Fur Warriors can find the best home for her.

We can wait to see your true colours shine Mama ❤️

News: yet another mass racall on kibble that's killing dogs or making them very sick 🫠

Three different dog food brands have been recalled in recent week because of bacteria that can sicken pets and humans who handle the food.

This handsome boy (with the hot pink tail) is Luyi!

This boy sadly has not had the best life. He has been bounced around and let down by everyone he has met... until now!

Luyi is here for dog reactivity as he is constantly trying to dominate the other dogs in the home and instigating fights.

While it's uncertain if Luyi will be able to stay where he is due to his dominant behaviour, his owner isn't going to turn her back on him without exhausting all other options.

Luyi has had zero training so we will be working on:

✅ Reliable Recall (recalling away from)
✅ Place Command (with dogs as distractions)
✅ Leash Manners (ignoring dogs/not reacting)
✅ Resource Guarding
✅ Over Excitement

As we get to know Luyi, we will start to understand the source of his reactive behaviour towards dogs. Once we know that, we will be able to advise if a multi-dog home is realistic with training and management, or if it's just setting him up for failure.

It's a beautiful thing that people like Luyi's current owner exist. Luyi is finally being loved and advocated for. Even if it doesn't work out this time around, she's making sure he's getting the best chance at a good life ❤️

Meet Jeff!

If being an adorable puppy was the only assignment, Jeff would have crushed that goal 100x over.

But, Jeff is being true to his Guardian Breed heritage and needs some help learning that there is a time and a place for these behaviours.

Jeff can be aggressive towards new people, although he does warm up eventually. We are teaching him the place command as a means of allowing him time to process new people in his environment, and pairing this with a perfect recall since he can also resource guard food. Jeff will also be learning how to walk on leash and ignore distractions as he is going to be a large boy with a lot of drive and we want to keep everyone safe!

We're a bit behind on introducing some of our trainees and our social media game has been lacking. I apologize for that, things are a bit crazy at the Complete K9 Care homestead, but only for a little while longer 😊

This amazing girl is Minnie. Minnie has a very sad history as an overbred and abused dog who was left abandoned in a field when her last owner was done using and abusing her.

But our job isn't to let dogs live in the past, it's to help them forage a brighter future and that's exactly what Minnies amazing new family is set out to do!

Minnie is a highly fearful dog that exhibits dog and human reactivity and comes to us with a bite history which appears to have been unprovoked. But she has shown us that she can ignore dogs and be friendly with people when handled properly so we know that we just need to be more aware of Minnies limitations and boundaries.

We are working on:
✅ Dog Reactivity
✅ Human Reactivity
✅ Leash Manners/ ignoring stressors
✅ Place Command for when guests visit

She has made amazing progress with our program and soon we will be teaching her family how to continue the work we have done and keep building Minnie up into a more confident dog!

Bite Club is coming back full swing!

We are excited to be partnering with Tyler Urquhart of Urquhart’s Top K9 Services who is a proficient PSA Decoy, along with our very own Brent Alvey who is a 3x IGP Nationals Decoy. Both Brent and Tyler have titled their own dogs and helped countless others reach their training goals as well.

𝐔𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑
November 11th
November 25th
December 9th
December 23rd

𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭: $60 per dog *𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲* each dog is worked twice.

Doors open at 9:30am, starts at 10am and registration cut off is at 11am.

Dogs must be leashed at all times and secured in a vehicle when not being worked.

If you havent been with us long, you may not remember Panda.

Panda came to us as an emergency intake last summer barely escaping euthanasia. Her brother sadly was not so lucky 😪

She wasn't part of the Fur Warriors family for long before a wonderful couple fell in love with her and made her a permanent part their lives.

We love getting updates from all of our clients, but the dogs that come through our doors that dont have a family to love them resonate differently.

Every dog deserves someone to love them as much as Pandas family love her ❤️

Congrats to the beautiful couple!
