Small rant for today!
You know what is so disappointing for me…..
The people nowadays that don’t even stop to consider what they are going to spout off!
The attacks and insults I get from strangers every single time I post a baby looking for a forever family is disheartening.
I get it, shelters are full, and many dogs need rescue but I’m not one of those Greeders contributing to that! My pups leave my home on a very strict contract that they come back here if they can’t, for ANY REASON, live their life with the one who signed forever home with me. Every single time someone buys that cheap puppy on Facebook or Kijiji and it gets sick, or develops allergies, or worse something like IVDD and the owner can’t afford the medical bills….. what happens? They get surrendered cause that so called breeder is no longer reachable, or isn’t willing to help support the poor family and pup. Those are the problems contributing to and compounding the rescues being full.
So adopt don’t shop is such a silly statement. What we should be saying is support reputable breeders that will always support their pups and new families. Buy from someone who has a reputation for being extraordinary and will always be there. Shop with reputable breeders you can trust, pay a little more but get what you have paid for! The more people who buy those cheap puppies is what is fueling the problem we have in rescues. Buying those puppies keeps those puppy mills in business, I watch it day in and day out. No ethical breeder has a dozen litters a year, not one single one of us does that, but those puppy mills do! No health testing done, they breed anything and everything, and they cut all kinds of corners to save costs so they can pump out cheap puppies that often get sick. The adult dogs live in crates in shops and sheds and they birth and sell, birth and sell, so if you want to support that then don’t complain at the tragedy of what is happening in rescues!
I do my absolute best to be a kind and caring breeder. I follow strict ethics and provide health guarantees with actual lifetime support! My babies are my babies forever and my new families are part of my Precious Paws Family for same! I value who I am, my dogs, and what I bring into this world for families to have and love. Every single one of my dogs a d puppies sleep here in my home, they run and play freely in my house, and they are hand raised and taught manners. The pups leave me with a good grasp on potty training and they are sleeping through the night. Full of love, not shy or skittish, they are absolute little gems.
I don’t dislike or insult or bash one single rescue on earth! I offer help, I donate my time, equipment, supplies, and funds to help any rescue because I respect and love what they do. I have an orphan squirrel living in my NICU nursery right now. I spent weeks feeding that baby with a syringe every 2 hours right through the nights, because I love animals. There in no monetary reward to that, none of this life is about the money to me, I do it because I have huge love and passion for the animals and what I do. The amount of rescue people or rescue supporters that attack breeders is pretty sad!!!!
Not every person selling puppies is the same, and I highly recommend doing some research before you jump on the slander train sending rude messages and insults. Some of us are different, some of us also rescue, some of us support rescues any way we can, and some of us don’t deserve to be berated by strangers for doing what we do out of love and passion!
This baby I have is absolutely perfect and I had every intention of keeping him. Unfortunately life commitments make it unfair, to him, for me to keep him. So I am doing the right thing by Buck and searching for his forever family. A family that will love him like I do, and give him all the time and opportunities he deserves as a puppy!!!! I’m not doing anything wrong other than breaking my own heart, to do what is right for him, so please don’t roll up on me with being rude! This hasn’t been an easy decision, it didn’t come lightly, but it is best for Buck and that’s what I have to put forefront.
When you are price shopping for a puppy remember you most often get what you pay for! I am not a breeder who cuts corners to save costs. No expense is spared when I bring these nuggets into our universe and I raise them as my own, every single one of them. I provide a bullet proof contract that protects that puppy for life and the love and passion I put in speaks volumes. There is value in every decision we make and I value mine, I also feel my puppies come with that value when they join your home. Kijiji has lots of cheap puppies, but they aren’t the same, do your research. With me you aren’t just buying a puppy, you are getting so much more 🐾❤️🐾
