No matter where I go I’m always looking for and watching any dogs I see. I really enjoy going to different cities and countries seeing different breeds and the different ways the dogs act. I find it super fascinating watching how different cultures treat dogs differently and how some produce such balance dogs and some cultures make dogs more anxious and reactive!

Hi! I'm Claudia, and I am the face behind PawScents!

I've had a passion for animals as long as I can remember and grew up wanting to be a Veterinarian. Well, never did become a vet! However, I gained valuable experience while working at a Holistic Veterinary clinic for 10 years. The clinic opened my eyes and heart to holistic pet health care and natural products.

The creation of PawScents started at the beginning of spring 2022 when dreaded tick season begins. My first product that prompted it all, Tikked Off! Spray. I was passionate about creating a natural bug spray for dogs to help repel those pesky critters, as the idea of using internal medications to kill ticks was alarming to me! Very shortly after I decided to add on two different shampoos, that are super gentle and soothing to the skin. As well as a paw balm to protect and nourish dog paw pads during the hot and cold months...or just whenever they need a pampering!

I'm super excited to continue sharing my products with Kelowna and reaching out to the Okanagan and beyond!

Dirk got to have his muzzle off today which was a wonderful success! He totally rocked it and is such a good boy. Luna, Rosie, Neka and Jupiter all helped be the best version of himself too! ❤️

We would like to sadly say our goodbyes to one of our wonderful client care representatives , Maesie!

She started with us almost two years ago, and has made a huge impact at our clinic. She has made many client and patient relationships that she has expressed will be deeply missed!

Maesie is moving on to focus on her small business Okanagan Adventure pups ! She is offering a 10% discount for our lovely Pawsitive clients on their first five hikes! HOW TO HELP YOUR DOG LIVE LONGER!

Everyone knows that exercise is good for both us and our doggy friends but do you know just how good it is?

Exercise is so important not only for helping our dog’s bodies last longer but also their minds. Mental and physical stimulation can change our dog’s lives drastically. From nervous and reactive to calm and relaxed in just a couple hours. So many dogs are masking their frustration and pent up energy with things like:
* Separation anxiety
* Destructive behaviours
* Aggression
* Reactivity
* Nipping and or snapping
* Depression
* Fixation
* And Neurotic obsessions

Those are just to name a few. These behaviours aren’t normal and CAN be fixed. A well regulated and balanced dog won’t display these types of behaviours. It only takes a couple hours a day to help your dog feel relaxed and comfortable at home. Hiking, walking, short training sessions, sniff sessions and swimming are all wonderful outlets to let your dog release their energy and feel balanced. Exercise also helps prevent cancer, obesity, builds bone health, keeps their digestive systems healthy and functioning, and helps keep their joints and muscles stay healthy into old age! What isn’t there to love about exercise!
