🌞🐶 Important Dog Facts for Hot Weather! 🐾🐾

As the temperature rises, it's crucial to keep our furry friends safe and comfortable. Here are five essential dog facts to remember during hot weather:

1️⃣ Dogs are prone to heatstroke: Our four-legged pals are more susceptible to heatstroke than humans. Help them stay cool and prevent overheating!

2️⃣ Provide plenty of water: Keep your pup hydrated at all times with fresh water. Make sure their water bowl is filled, and consider adding extra water sources around the house or yard.

3️⃣ Avoid walking on hot surfaces: Pavement, sand, or asphalt can scorch your dog's paw pads. Always check the ground temperature before taking them for a walk.

4️⃣ Never leave your dog in a parked car: Even a few minutes in a parked car can be life-threatening. The temperature inside rises rapidly, so it's best to leave them at home in a cool environment.

5️⃣ Provide shade and a cool environment: Give your dog access to shade when outside. They can get sunburned too!! Set up a sheltered area with ventilation or use a cooling mat to help them regulate their body temperature. Keeping them indoors during the hottest parts of the day is a great idea too!

Remember, if you notice signs of heatstroke (excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or collapse), please seek veterinary assistance immediately.

🎉 We're thrilled to celebrate the amazing progress made by Dozer in just THREE of our training sessions! 🐾

When we first met Dozer, he was struggling with fighting with his furry brother, listening on walks, and reactivity towards other people, and dogs.

Dozer is a 6-year-old, Boston Frenchie.

💪 Dozer now demonstrates impressive obedience, adapting his behavior quickly and following commands with ease. Even in high-stress environments, he now walks calmly on the leash, showcasing his growing self-control and discipline!

🚶‍♂️ During walks, Dozer has also shown remarkable trust in his owner by staying closer and seeking guidance from his handler when anxious, which is a significant step in his training, from thinking he'd take care of business first.

🙌 Finally, the once unmanageable reactivity in Dozer's behavior has become almost non-existent in just three sessions, a true testament to everyone's unwavering patience, effort and knowledge.💪
