Dogtor Piper here with some Halloween safety tips for your pets!

Halloween is a fun and exciting time for us two-leggers, but can be a bit stressful for our four legged companions!

1. Make sure your pets have up to date ID! A microchip, and tags on their collars are easy ways to ensure your babies are returned to you in the event of an unfortunate escapee!
2. Keep them away from halloween treats! Chocolate and pets do not mix, so ensure your candy is kept out of reach and safely locked away!
3. Provide a safe resting place while fireworks occur- pick a place they feel most comfortable, put on some gentle music, and give them a long lasting treat like a bully stick or enrichment meal to keep them distracted while the festivities occur.
