You may recall the mango shampoo I’ve posted about before, Gunner got to try the Green Tea and Camomile by PawScents yesterday and love it!
After a good 🛁 with this shampoo he is soooo soft!
Paw Scents is a local company out of the Okanagan. Check out Pawsitive Veterinary Care to find the shampoo or other dog care products!
If there’s enough interest in the Houston/Smithers/Burns lake area I may start looking at bringing these products here!

Also met Luna who is a rescue.♥️

I appreciate everyone that adopts instead of shops! Sometimes it can take a little extra work but it’s always worth it in the end. ☺️

Today Gunner worked on carrying his own back pack. Teaching dogs to wear this can give them purpose, a job, help build muscle and assist with carrying supplies during an adventure.
If you decide to do this with your dog, please educate yourself with proper training to do so and weight recommendations for your dog based on things like their weight and age.

PET SAFETY REMINDER: Remember that asphalt (and concrete) gets HOT during the summer and can cause burns to pets’ feet. On a 77-degree day asphalt temps have measured as high as 125 degrees – and on an 87-degree day as high as 143 degrees (it’s already 88 today in central Iowa and temps are climbing, so even more dangerous)! Skin destruction can occur in as little as 1 minute on a 125-degree surface. To keep your pet safe, press the back of your hand firmly against the asphalt (or concrete) for 7 seconds before walking your dog on it. If it’s not comfortable for you, it could potentially harm your pup. Even better, walk your dog in the grass to not even risk paw damage.

Summer can mean more time by the pool or lake with your dog. Remember to make sure they always have access to fresh, clean water to stay hydrated. And be sure to not let them drink from pools, lakes, or ponds.

Hey everyone please meet Bean. This is a courtesy post, this dog is not currently in my care.
Bean was taken in as a very skinny, sick dog not long ago. She has been vetted, taken care of, and has put some weight on. Now that she is feeling better, she is in need of a forever home.
Bean has shown some reactivity with other dogs and will need an experienced handler that will be willing to work with her.
If anyone knows of someone that may be interested or if there is a bully rescue doing intakes please PM me. Also please PM for more info.
Bean is currently in Houston BC.

My boy Hogan. This post is to say he is officially retired. Due to an increase in seizures, and is heading into his 9th year.
Like his brother before him, he accomplished many things and accompanied me through many journeys and adventures.
Hogan welcomed a dog from Mexico and dogs that stayed with us. He worked with me, in a couple different jobs. He assisted with training dogs, had a blast hiking and playing. The list is so big as to where this dog has been and what he’s done. Also how many g/fs he’s made 😉
Thank you to anyone that may read this that allowed us to spend time with your dogs.
This retired boy is just going to be a spoiled retired boy now ♥️
Also, that’s his silhouette in my new logo ☺️

Just wanted to take a minute to first of all be surprised that this was almost 6 years ago Anthony Boldt but also congratulate you.
Through out the years I’ve known you since you made the leap to BC, I’ve only witnessed someone that has a dogs best interest at heart. Any dog I saw you work with was done with so much love and compassion for them.
Your recent Gold award is well earned since then.
The Prairieburn K9 Academy - BC Division has bloomed into a fantastic resource for anyone seeking assistance with their dog.
I’d like to say that I do not write things like this for no reason. I believe this person makes a difference in his community.
For anyone watching this and are not familiar with me. First I don’t do videos well lol second I originally called my business Pawsome Companions, before I realized how popular that would be. At the time “Pawsome Companions” only had 2 hits on FB. Now it’s everywhere.

If you notice any body of water that looks like this picture, never let your pet swim or drink it. If you think your dog has come into contact with blue-green algae, rinse them off immediately with clean water and get them to their veterinarian or emergency hospital.

Our Story

Hi there my name is Leanne. Starting at a very young age I showed that I had a love for animals. Aside from bringing home every stray dog I found or injured wild animal, at the age of 10 I would knock on neighbours doors asking if I could walk their dogs. After my mom got me my first dog, a German Shepherd. I began not only training my dog but also training some of the neighbours dogs. Now I have many years experience walking and training dogs, working at boarding kennels and caring for animals. I also have a couple years experience working in a Veterinary Clinic. I’m also Dogsafe Canine First Aid Certified.

I am offering dog walking, either a group or 1:1 with your dog or daycare that I call Daycare Adventures. I currently have one dog of my own, a German Shepherd, that I have been working on to be a balanced dog for pack walks.

When it comes to our pets I think they can be the best therapy. As someone that works in the health care field I understand the need for temporary assistance with an animal while the owner is home. I am also offering services to help clients when they want to keep a pet at home but may be having a difficult time during healing or a change in health. This can include a variety of pet care tasks.

For pet sitting or boarding information please contact me directly, I am currently in the works to change some of these services.
