Snooze fest for miss Abby while I brushed her 😴 🥰 BEYOND PROUD of her on how far she’s come in just over a week! Last Friday when she arrived for her training, if I even tried to attempt to go in for a pet or even make a sudden movement, all she wanted(and tried to do) was bite me repeatedly.

Miss Abby who’s here for her board and train is coming along but, slow and steady is the key for her. She will bite and with quite the intention to boot if you try and get too close to her. She is super sensitive and has quickly learned, biting and lunging at people will get them to back the F off!! The thing that is most affective for her is, playing hard to get and just being together with minimal direction, for now, as we need to go at her pace and when she decides she can trust me - respecting her comfort level of space and where she is at mentally is paramount!!

Couple quick facts on how intense this girl is at such a young age
✅ she needs to be heavily medicated just to get her nails trimmed at the vet
✅ she wants to bite anyone who gets near her bubble that isn’t really short
✅ she has been refused by all groomers because they cannot groom her safely
✅ she has an extremely small bubble of people she has learned to trust
✅ she is ALWAYS ON and in surveillance mode

So glad to be working with her to show her the world doesn’t have to be such a scary place and that, not all humans are scary either. I have my work cut out for me but likely, her owners will as well once she returns home. I’ll be there every step of the way to help create more and more wins for her and her family so they can all enjoy life to the fullest potential ✨🤍

What it looks like immediately after you leave your dog with me for their board & train program.
It is essential to allow dogs to adjust and take the pressure off “training” immediately. Letting them settle in with me, the new surroundings, etc., but not letting them take complete control and pull me along anywhere they want.

I received Charlotte’s remains today and have reunited her with Finnegan’s remains here in my home forevermore where, they will always have their own side by side mountain 🐾. It is extremely special to me to have them side by side again ♥️♥️

Charlotte, it was truly the biggest honour and blessing of my entire life that your shared yours with me 🤍

I hope you’re able to forgive my long winded post about you (if you knew her, Charlotte would hate this fuss over her!) but you’ve been through almost a third of my life with me, and I got to spend your entire live with you; minus the first 10 weeks since you were born.

You were always by my side through my lowest of lows and the highest of highs—I don’t think I could’ve gotten through the lows and been able to fully celebrate the highs without you to give me proper perspective.

Through you, my whole life changed and I couldn’t have ever imagined the things we would accomplish together, see together, and do together. Also guide me to make a career change and move to the Okanagan to start a business to help dogs and their families as a team.

You had the most remarkable soul I’ve ever experienced. Your instinctual nature was beyond. The teachings you blessed me with were incredibly powerful and far beyond what I could have ever imagined.

I will always miss you, treasure our time together, remember you, and do my best to continue to honour you with everything you taught me.

Love you my little ninja princess Charlotte ♥️

P.S. Make sure to give your husband Finnegan the biggest smooch and hug for us! And thank you for sending down our favourite weather the evening of our passing ❄️ 🐾🤍
