We are a Certified Naturally Grown and Regenerative 2 acre Urban Farm in Kelowna, BC. Wise Earth Farm is located at KLO and the Mission Greenway in Kelowna, BC.

We have a passion for healthy food & soil that allows us to nourish our community from the ground up. We grow a variety of vegetables using organic principles and french intensive methods. Our produce is sold at farmers markets,to restaurants, and through a CSA weekly box program.

Fresh ginger is a crop that freezes extremely well.

Cut off the fresh greens and use them in teas, stocks, infusions, etc. Then store the root in a bag (ideally vacuum-sealed, but not necessary). When you’re ready to use it for savoury dishes, smoothies, teas, etc, you can easily grate it - straight from frozen - no need for peeling or chopping.

Stock up while it lasts 🫚🔅

The zucchini plants have come and gone for the season — just like flowers, they blossom & then brown and fade when the season calls for it 🌿

Planted outside on June 3rd.
Last harvest on October 11th.

This custom roots washer has worked hard for us over the years & is a true asset to the farm.

One crate full of roots (beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, etc) gets loaded into the front of the metal drum, which has a gate that latches closed. As it spins, water sprays from overhead & washes all the dirt off the tumbling roots.

We operate it by connecting a hose + plugging it into an outlet. This amazing custom roots washer was made by our neighbour Cliff - an incredible welder/handyman. We truly appreciate his craftsmanship everyday!
