TRIGGER WARNING THERE IS A PICTURE OF HER CUT WHICH IS GROSS!

I think it's time we finally introduce our little Habenero. She found us at the farm when she needed some serious help. She was only about 6-9 months of age. We could tell there was something wrong right away. her matted coat was falling of like an extra tail. she was SPICY and scared. once in the house we noticed she was badly wounded and her entire side had been cut. She had horrible p**p issues and was severely under weight and would not survive surgery. We did what we could to keep her clean and help her understand we wanted to help her. We were very scared she wouldn't make it. we were originally using tongs to change her p*e pad and slowly get her use to us.

As the story always goes she now runs our house and is a big chin scratch lover. Sometimes your family members find you ❤

Off the rails fam is excited to announce our newest adventure! Hatching some fluffy butts our own! Of course the gift was more than the incubator, it was the permission to allow chicken math to continue. I have some good breeding groups so time to see what my cuties will look like ❤ FYI I may need help building a few building for flocks next summer 🤣

There are things we expect when we move to the country and start taking in animals, but there are also hard lessons to learn. As someone who moved from the city and tried to save every creature no matter the size, this year is a wake up call.

This week we said goodbye to my baby Cluck Norris 🌈❤

cluck had been with us for about a year and a half and came with 3 others from a rough farm, 3 had barely any feathers and have always been sickly. two had passed already one had a stroke and the other just failed to live. Cluck got sick over 2 months ago and after having a bathroom chicken then a basement chicken. Trying everything, the matter of fact is livestock aren't always bred for quality and I didnt know the difference. I didnt know how fragile a chicken can be from over breeding from the same genetics(yes inbreeding). My newest bunch of silkies and my OG bobby are all from very good breeders and are like little tanks.

I wanted to take this time to say goodbye and thank him for teaching me so much ...... and bobby how to be the best gentleman to his ladies ❤ you will never be forgotten
