At Silver Meadows Farm, we believe in building a strong foundation from the beginning.

Our program is designed to ensure that the basic's are taught and achieved by each rider and horse before moving on to the next level. We embrace accomplishment and believe in empowering our students, teaching them to respect their horses and themselves, building self esteem and self confidence. To be a successful athlete you must be dedicated, educated and believe anything is possible.

Proudly offered FOR LEASE - ‘Capriano 14’
‘Cappy’ is a 7 year old imported gelding. Cappy spent last season campaigning in both the Pre Green, and Adult Amateur divisions with great results, including qualifying for the Royal Winter Fair. He has lovely barn manners, is very brave, and is a super fun ride for someone looking to be competitive in the 3’ or 3’3” hunters, and even a few derbies! Special consideration given to an in-barn leaser. Please contact Taylor for more information.

Our final competitor at this year’s Royal Winter Fair, was three year old ‘Citadel,’ in the Lieutenant Governor’s Cup. Chris handled the coliseum like a seasoned professional, shining in a competitive group of young horses. We are thrilled for him and owner, Alana Yourkevich, on his 5th place finish. The future is bright for Chris!
Many thanks to Emma Cassell who stayed through the end of the fair to ensure that Chris was ready for his big moment!

Madison Cadieux-Moran and ‘Lewis van de Kampel’ took on the Royal Winter Fair in both the Amateur Owners and the Canadian Hunter Derby final. They rode to two top 6 finishes in the Amateur Owners, and great scores in the derby, concluding with a top 12 finish in the night class! Maddy’s consistency and confidence shone through this year after a successful season in all three rings.
As always, we are grateful to Emma Cassell and Skyler Dopson who had these two sparkling and ready to perform at the biggest show of the year ✨

After an unfortunate horse switch early in the season, Caitlin Clemmens partnered with ‘Verdi’s Talent ALZ’ to tackle the 3’3” Junior/Amateur and qualify for the national final. The pair rode to a high score of 85 for a 2nd place finish over fences, as well as a 6th in the hack to finish their season together. A huge dream achieved for Caitlin; to ribbon at the Royal Winter Fair culminating in their highest score of the year! We are so proud of you, Cait!
As always, thank you to Emma Cassell and Skyler Dopson for having Sully polished and ready to shine under the coliseum lights. We would also like to thank the Glockler family for sharing sweet Sully with us this year!

Emma Cassell piloted ‘HWF Vermont’ to whopping scores of 86 and 87 for two third place finishes in the 3’3” Junior/Amateur Hunter, plus a 5th place hack ribbon. Emma, you are a standout competitor, teammate, rider, and friend to both horses and peers. You manage horse care, preparations, competing, and even teammate emotions with care and professionalism. You are the definition of a team player and it is our greatest pleasure to have you on our team. We are so proud of your accomplishments this season with Bernie, and a beautiful finish at the Royal was the cherry on top!

Grace O’Leary rode her own, ‘Capriano 14’ on his first trip to the Royal Winter Fair in the Adult Amateur Hunters. New to our team this year, Grace has confidently and carefully trusted our team and program to ensure a successful career for Cappy. We are so thrilled with their performance and look forward to the future!

Thrilled to congratulate Marli Taylor on a successful first trip to the Royal Winter Fair! Partnered with ‘HWF Vancouver’, it was Marli’s dream and goal to compete at the prestigious national final after a 20 year hiatus from showing, and 10 from riding! With the help of Emma Cassell, her dream came true and she rode two lovely trips in the Adult Amateur Hunters.
Endless thank yous to Emma for all of her help with this team all summer, and to both her and Skyler for making sure both horse and rider were primed and polished for their time in the coliseum!

Congratulations to our entire team on a successful and rewarding Royal Winter Fair!

Amber Dopson and ‘Capone B’ competed in the Junior Hunters, for Capone’s first trip to the Royal Winter Fair. They brought home an 8th in the under saddle, and Amber piloted him both with confidence and positivity, to create a fantastic learning experience for this horse.

We thank Emma Cassell and Skyler Dopson for ensuring Capone looked and felt his best walking down the chute, and of course, the family associated with helping make this dream a reality! We also thank Adam Hickey and Katie Bird for allowing us to work with Capone this year.
