I wanted to make a post to explain my system when taking on new clients. My policy is by referral and recommendation from a friend, family member, or existing client. Unfortunately, I cannot take on friends of friends, the reason I don’t do this is for my own safety.

Please DO NOT share my page or information in any pages or groups. ❌

Porcupine Safety!!
In the last 3 days, we have had 5 pets come in with porcupine quills!
Did you know that porcupines do not "attack" dogs, but will defend themselves against curious sniffs, or dogs that are trying to defend their property / owners.
Quills should NOT be cut! It actually makes removal harder.
The faster the pet is sedated and the quills removed the better
Quills can migrate very quickly under the skin and make it harder to remove and a greater potential for complications later.
Removal of quills is quite painful. We highly recommend having your pet sedated and removal done by a professional, as quills can break off and then migrate further into tissue.
Please give us a call if you have any questions, or if your pet gets "quilled".

1st half of my stay with these two has been very enjoyable! They got to spend some time with Alex as well, which developed into a close friendship between him and Mason haha 😍 They’ve gotten a few great walks.. which resulted in a couple baths 😅🧼
