I met Jean Price by chance over 13 years ago and our love of dogs was the foundation of a forever friendship. Jean was kind, giving, self sacrificial and never more then a phone call away.
She had a memory that was incredible. A walking genealogy for our breed and I’m sure, she had forgotten more than I will ever know. She was a wealth of wisdom. Not just about dogs, but life and people. If she counted you as a friend, she had your back, always. If you did something wrong she’d let you know, then she’d forgive you and help you correct it. She was my friend, my mentor. She made my life better. Funnier. Fuller. My heart hurts terribly and I will miss her so much.
I picture her resting in a comfy chair in a flower garden. It is filled with her favourite blooms. The fragrance is amazing. She can look out over the ocean from where she is sitting. There is a warm breeze and the sun is on her face. I imagine that she is surrounded by all of her beloved animals who have been patiently waiting for her.
