Well,
All great things must come to an end at some point. Kindersley has been such an amazing chapter of learning, working hard and persevering.
As my small circle knows I’ve been planning on moving. Last week was my last week of work down in Kindersley. As sad as I am to say goodbye to the amazing group of women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing from Merrington Warmbloods (as well as all my kindersley friends) I’m super excited to announce that I have taken the plunge and gone North.
I will now be offering free lance training out of the town of Meota, SK. Hopefully in a little while I will have a little set up for myself to start taking training horses on at home again but for now it’s just me, my girls, and big Red (who was a training horse fail and now is stuck with me forever).
I’ll currently be offering a hand to anyone who needs at for my hourly rate plus milage where ever I’m going. I’m happy to assist with ground work, backing, starting, or even just helping riders feel more comfortable around their equine partner.

Thank you to everyone who made my time in kindersley so amazing. Attached are some fond kindo memories of training horses and owned horses alike. I can’t wait to see what this year brings and I’m feeling so blessed to eventually be able to run my business out of my own home.

Last weekend Big Red went to Moosejaw for his first ever show.
As a testament to his wonderful temperament and willingness to perform; this was his second time off property, first time going on an over night stay and first time being in a ring with spectators, announcers and unfamiliar horses.

This young horse handled himself BEAUTIFULLY. Even with green horse moments he exceeded expectations, even coming home with a 3rd and 4th place ribbon in large competitive classes of horses who have had a season on them.

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful horse. I enjoy every second I get to spend around him.

Update on Ms. Millie!
Heres 5 minutes of raw flat footage including some canter work!
In the last few weeks this mare has come leaps and bounds. Not only has this little mare put her first canter in the books, shes also been out hacking around the yard. Her maturity never seizes to amaze me. for being in her 4yr old year this girl meets me at the gate with a smile on her face, hangs out in the barn, and is always excited about a new challenge or adventure.
In the last few weeks shes gotten so sharp to the voice and seat aids and is now beginning to work really nicely off the leg.
Im really enjoying the progress that this girl makes every time I ride. I'm lucky to have such a rewarding job!

Really fun exercise focused on transitions and waiting. Big Red loves to go get 'em but i really enjoyed the outcome of this ride where we could focus on coming back and finding our distance out of a trot.
This big gelding is way too much fun to ride, especially over fences.

This pony is AMAZING! She is so much fun to ride and super quiet. Shes going to be a blast for a kid looking for a project. In a consistent program I bet she'll be ready to step into the show ring in 2024!

She will be an asset to a lesson program or a super fun project fir a kid wanting to put some jump miles on a future superstar.

This was millies first ride outside. quick lunge as a prep and a hand walk around the arena. My pivo camera follows us as i ride. the noise or flash didn't phase her once. this greenies brain makes my job pretty easy!

Eppich Starstruck Millie
Millie is a 14.3hh, 2019, quarter horse/ Morgan mare. She is half papered with the American Half Quarter Horse Registry sired by Ima Stone Cold Kid (AQHA) 5074586 out of Eppich Starbuck.
Millie came for training last winter (2022) as a 3yr old to be backed and started. Millie handled the whole process of starting work like a super star!
After 60 days she went back home to chill out and mature into her 4yr old year. Millie came back to my program 2 weeks ago. I lunged her one day and she picked up exactly where she left off the day she left in the winter. By day 2 of restart training I was riding her again. Although a green broke horse Millie is very smart and responsible under saddle. Although still figuring things out she’s having moments where she finds her forward and begins to stretch into the bridle. Her sweet personality makes it easy to want to work with her. She meets you at the gate with a smile on her face and an eagerness to learn each day.
Under saddle currently she is going W/T. I’ve challenged her with riding in different arenas and she acts exactly the same. She’s been ridden with other horses in the arena and in the barn. She stands quietly cross tied or tied in a stall. Picks up all 4 feet with out protest, clips, and absolutely loves to be groomed and fussed over.
She’d be a super fun project for someone looking to develop a greenie. Being as new to riding as she is I think she could go in any direction, English or western. Her bases are strong and so far she’s had a very slow and positive start to her journey of becoming a riding horse. I think in a year this mare would be rock solid and a super fun partner!

i was super impressed with this first experience over fences with this pony. Her brain makes training super exciting and fun!
I cant wait to see how this smart mare develops over the next month on the flat and over fences. Still work to be done but this was a fabulous start!

Looking for a perfect pony project for your kid?
Check out Honey! Honey is a 2016, 13hh welsh pony mare. Honey was started western and then trained by a kid in the beginning of her career. She’s been roped off of and has dragged calves. That being said this pony is the ultimate bomb proof type. Quiet, simple and easy.
Honey came to my sales program at the end of august. Since then I’ve been riding her English. She’s picked up basic dressage movements like shoulder fore and leg yield with ease. We’ve schooled over some basic pole work and even had our first jump ride where she faced everything with grace and kindness, even when she was figuring things out.
Under saddle Honey is a kick and spur ride, loves a soft hand as well as a soft seat. Once she finds her forward she’s a pretty cute moving pony but she’s also happy to quietly trot and canter around with no contact. She hacks out alone or with a group. Only vice is she occasionally wants to stop and eat so she will need a kid who is confident outside an arena to pick her head up. In the arena she’s super focused and works really hard!
She would be an asset to a lesson program or a show home looking for a pony project for next season (not to mention the fact she looks like a Barbie pony! And yes, she is even cuter in person). Honey is listed for sale. PM myself or Lynn Cairns for more information. Videos to follow on my page

Offering for sale IKON

Ikon is a 15.1, 16 year old papered Arabian gelding. Ikon is just returning to work after a year off due to a lack of time for riding, prior to that he was used for pleasure riding mostly in western tack.
Ikon came for training 2 weeks ago and has been absolutely wonderful stepping into work. He’s a quiet kick type ride and very forgiving. He’s currently working to achieve training level movements as he returns to work and gets back into shape. I’ve hacked him out so far just alone with no problems. He’s been ridden alone and with other horses in the arena and acts the exact same.
Ikon would be best suited for a rider looking for a training - 1st level type mount to play around with or a lesson program looking for an awesome project to integrate into lessons.
He ties, crossties, baths, picks up all four feet, stands nice for the farrier and loves to be fussed over. Priced reasonably. Located in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada. Pm for more information

for all my dressage buyers; heres 12 minutes of raw flat footage from our two rides with Henk a few weeks ago. i've been itching to get this footage posted, unfortunately due to my old phone non stop crashing on me i had to wait for my upgrade.
