I am Groot, I've been with KHS since November 2023. In fact, I am the only '23 cat still looking for my forever home. 😿

I am only 5-years-old. I love food, playing with you, and my ribbon and mouse toys. Chasing tennis balls is my absolute favorite activity! I also enjoy napping in random places and basking in the sun. However, I dislike loud noises, especially the vacuum (seriously, who invented that monster?), and being told "no" (I mean, who likes that?).

My ideal home is a lively one, full of people with enough energy to play with me. Whether it's a home with several adults or older children, I thrive as the center of attention and enjoy company. I'm not sure how I feel about other cats, but I hear it's not recommended due to my FIV status. I don't get along with big dogs (they're just too much dog for me), and I'm still on the fence when it comes to small or medium dogs. As for children, older ones are more my speed.

I have a very sweet and friendly personality. It would only take me 2-3 days to settle into a new home, as I'm quite adaptable and curious about new places. I would benefit from being given the space to roam and explore during the adjustment period. I've been known to play a bit rough and I can be quite mischievous (think of me as a furry little prankster), but I'm very charming nonetheless. I also wheeze sometimes, but this doesn't seem to impact my wellbeing (just adds to my unique charm).

Medically, I am FIV+, but I'm told that FIV isn't easily transmitted between cats (only through deep bites, but not by sharing food or other normal interactions). I'm expected to live a full and happy life with my forever family. So, if you're looking for a playful, charming, and slightly mischievous companion, I am Groot! ❤🐾
