I've been putting off posting this since it's just been unbearable. On Tuesday morning I lost another best friend.... my very very special girl Rehya. I can't even describe the depth of the loss. I've run out of words to try to describe the emptiness in every place I look, her bed, her bowl, yesterday I was sure I heard her. I know she had an amazing life at 14.5 she was a miracle German Shepherd. She represents the end of the life and the bloodline I once had since she is my last puppy from Von Kalt Bach kennels, she is my last Canada dog. I'm so glad Rehya had the pool and lots of time to play ball... she would still run and chase a little. She entertained a lot of people in her lifetime, staring at her ball and waiting for it to be kicked 2 or 3 inches.

I'm so thankful for those extra days we got to have together.

Had an amazing session with Ava the German Shepherd today!

Ava is one big heavy puller and very distracted with her surroundings. For just a young pup SHE IS STRONG! We can’t have her dragging her owners around so we had to teach her a proper leash walk.

Leash walking is so important for a dog to learn because if gives them a job and teaches them how to ignore their surroundings and stay engaged with their handler. It also creates boundaries and establishes a healthy handler and dog relationship. 🐶
