Now here’s a makeover you don’t want to miss!

After a major de-shed, Sophie looks so youthful; almost like a new dog! Most importantly, her skin will feel much better now that the dead undercoat has been removed, which provides better air flow and less moisture buildup.

Her owner hardly recognized her at pick-up and is so happy with her new look🤭

Many people may not know that smooth coated breeds, such as pugs, beagles, boxers, labs, etc. do in fact benefit from a maintained grooming schedule. Not only is it beneficial for the health of their skin and coat, but it also cuts down on shedding at home! On top of that, they get their nails clipped, paw pads shaved and ears cleaned at the same time!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Karina. I moved to Kingston a few years ago for college and loved this city so much I ended up buying my own home here in the west end. After graduating Advanced Biotechnology at SLC, I went to London, ON for a few months to train under a Master groomer in a professional pet styling course. I originally bought my house with the intent to renovate the basement into my own salon. Now the time has finally come where I can share with you all the salon is up and running and ready to take on more clients!

I’d like to share with you all a photo from my childhood. My passion for animals goes back as far as I can remember. Here, my neighbours dogs were visiting while I was holding a Chihuahua; she, along with a group of Chihuahuas was owned by the local dog groomer/pet shop in town. I went to that pet shop so often I ended up developing a friendship with the owners. They then allowed me to come by multiple times a week to take their pups out for walks. It gave me so much joy. One of the highlights from my childhood I will always remember!
