To ensure your pets never run out of food, please remember to place your order at least one week before you’re running low. We will no longer be keeping large stocks of food in the clinic, so ordering ahead guarantees that your furry friends have everything they need on time.
Thank you for helping us keep your pets healthy and well cared for!

Did you know about that because of Dr. William Key and Jim Key over 2 million children signed the Jim Key pledge promising "I will try to be kind to all harmless living creatures and try to protect them from cruel usage"?

This photograph shows Doctor William Key with Beautiful Jim Key at an unknown location. A few individuals can be seen in the background, watching.

Beautiful Jim Key was an Arabian-Hambletonian horse who performed for nine years around the country to large crowds at expositions, world's fairs, schools, and other venues. During these performances, he demonstrated his intelligence and personality through his ability to read, write, spell, and solve math problems. His owner and trainer, Dr. William Key, was a self-taught veterinarian and former slave who championed patience and kindness as the keys to successful horse training. Dr. Key gained the attention of A. R. Rogers, a professional promoter, and the two worked together to showcase Beautiful Jim Key's many talents, especially through the partnership of local humane societies. It was through Dr. William Key's phenomenal work that millions signed up to join and support humane groups around the country.

Did you know?
When a cat scratches, they do it to express emotions, like excitement or stress, to mark objects with their scent (they have scent glands in their paws), to remove the dead part of their nails and, often, just to get a good stretch. Cutting your cat’s nails every two to three weeks will keep them relatively blunt and less likely to harm the arms of both humans and furniture. Provide your cat with a sturdy scratching post, at least three feet high. The post should also be stable enough that it won't wobble during use, and should be covered with rough material such as sisal, burlap or tree bark. Many cats also like scratching pads.
