We are thrilled to welcome back Competitive K9’s Stephanie Perrier, knowledgeable teacher and decorated competitor in sporting scent detection 🙌🏻✨

This workshop is geared towards dog and handler teams that are working on odour in all three elements (Containers, Interior, and Exterior) at the Advanced and Excellent levels, and beyond, and are preparing to or are already actively trialing in Sporting Scent Detection.

‼️Workshop Details:

• Date: February 15th, 2025
• Day: Saturday
• Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Location: Luv-A-K9 East Campus (2- 677 Innovation Drive)

•Cost:
- Full Day Working : $300.00 + HST
- Audit Space: $100.00 + HST (full day included!)

Note: There may be an opportunity for a 1/2 day working space (either morning, or afternoon). This is not guaranteed and will only be offered if the limited full day working spaces do not fill. If this opportunity becomes available it will be communicated by email. Historically Scent Detection workshops have filled to capacity.

Currently training in Puppy Kindergarten at Luv-A-K9? Join us for Puppy Practice and Play! 🐾

Puppy Practice and Play is a weekly opportunity for puppies and owners in the Puppy Kindergarten course to practice their class exercises with the guidance of our training team, have safe social interactions with puppies and owners from other Puppy Kindergarten classes at Luv-A-K9, and let out some of that puppy energy 🤪

Spaces are limited, and pre-registration is required 🤓

Looking to brush up on your skills? Need some extra guidance with your homework exercises? Join us for Self Guided Practice🤓

Sessions are available to students currently in-class, and who have attended training within the past 6 months. Self Guided Practice is a trainer supported opportunity to practice the skills you want to work on, have safe, positive passive exposure to other dogs and people, and ask additional questions related to your course curriculum.

‼️ NEW: in an effort to further support our students goals, obedience and speciality course registrations now include a complimentary pass to the Self Guided Practice of your choice to be used within your six week course timeline.

Thank you to the wonderful folks and pups who rang in the New Year with us by participating in our Rally Obedience and Agility fun matches 🥳

With your support we raised a total of $847.50 to be divided between Kingston Interval House and KFLA-AMHS 🙌🏻

We want to extend our sincerest appreciation to all 25 participants, and our team members who worked so hard to make this happen. We love supporting our community and look forward to hosting our students again soon for another fun match for a good cause! 💙

✨Holiday Hours✨

Classes will not be running on the follow dates:
- Tuesday, December 24th
- Wednesday, December 25th
- Thursday, December 26th
- Tuesday, December 31st
- Wednesday, January 1st

If your course falls on any of these dates, we will simply pause for a week and resume the following week. You will still receive six weeks of in class instruction.

All other classes will run as usual during the holiday season.

If you miss a class you may review the exercises in the provided homework book and you may email or call with any questions regarding the reviewed exercises. Make-up sessions are currently unavailable due to fully booked, small classes.

Students are eligible to join our drop-in Self Guided Practice sessions. Self Guided Practice is a trainer supported opportunity to practice the skills you want to work on. This is a great way to catch up on missed course content.
