We are constantly being asked about the most affordable options that people have for Spay/ Neuter. Here is a summary of options that we are aware of for the Kingston area.

THE KINGSTON HUMANE SOCIETY
Offers a Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic for Cats once a month. Current limit is 10 cats per month, with hopes to increase offerings in the future.

CITY OF KINGSTON
The City of Kingston has set aside $50,000 a year in their budget to provide assistance with Spay/ neuter. $25,000 through the Voucher program for “Owned” animals. As well as another $25,000 for their TNVR (Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return) Program for “Community” cats.
City of Kingston Voucher program:
The City of Kingston has a $250 voucher program for Low Income individuals through the Municipal Fee Assistance Program for spaying and neutering owned pets. For more information, please check out the City of Kingston website on eligibility and how to apply:

City of Kingston TNVR Program:
Kingston is very fortunate to have numerous rescues dedicated to helping "Community Cats" (Unowned stray or feral). Please note that before you contact them that they are 100% volunteer run, that most have regular full-time jobs and families to take care of in addition to their rescue work, so please be patient, respectful and supportive. They are also FULL, FULL, FULL! So, please have a plan on how YOU can assist them before reaching out. LANARK LEEDS & GRENVILLE SPAY NEUTER CLINIC

This is just the list for the Kingston area. There are many other wonderful groups outside the Kingston area working very hard to provide assistance in the area of spay/ neuter. Such as The Hollibell Foundation, Spencerville TNR Cat Rescue, and Fixed Furlife Quinsey just to name a few. Lots of people working tirelessly to try and combat the suffering of animals due to overpopulation. Please do your part and Spay/ neuter your pet, and don't delay in reaching out for assistance for unfixed strays, ferals and barn cats in your community. Everyone needs to work together for the sake of the animals. 🐾❤️
