If you are bringing a dog to the U.S. from a rabies-free or low-risk country, all you have to do is fill out the simple CDC Dog Import Form. Other forms which were previously shared are no longer required.
Requirements for dogs coming from high-risk countries have not changed, and these dogs must always be provided with additional documentation.
To go to the USA:
1: Fill out the simple CDC dog import form and keep a copy of the form to show to customs officers. This form can be saved on your phone or printed. Valid for multiple entries for 6 months.
2. The dog must be healthy, microchipped and at least 6 months old.

1. Pet-proof your home: Secure loose wires, keep candles out of reach, remove loose stove k***s.

2. Create a pet emergency kit: Include food, water, medications, and vet records.

3. Practice fire drills: Familiarize your pets with escape routes and meeting spots.

4. Display a pet alert window cling. You can often obtain a free window cling at your local shelter or fire hall.

Does your pet have itchy ears?? Ear mites are most common in cats but can be passed onto their canine house mates. This patient was carrying some unwanted passengers in his ears but during his kitten exam Dr Justin noticed some dark brown debris in his ears and thought it was a good idea to have a closer look under the microscope 🔬With treatment the kitten is going to be feeling much more comfortable very soon 😸

Ticks live in long grass and forested areas. After enjoying the outdoors, check your dog and yourself for ticks! The black-legged tick can carry Lyme disease. Protect your pet, call us today.
