Meet Kiah - a 13 year old Mini Aussie who was diagnosed with a partial cruciate tear by Dr. Gerald! After diagnosis, Kiah underwent weekly rehabilitation appointments with our certified rehabilitation technician, Morgan! Her appointments consisted of underwater treadmill and laser therapy. Cats can do rehabilitation too!
Many people are surprised by this, but cats can be just as successful as dogs in doing therapeutic exercises and even hydrotherapy!
The trick is finding the right motivation and lots of patience.
For Tigger, he LOVED to be brushed. So he was rewarded with brushing after every exercise.

She is one of our sweet, senior patients. She has been coming weekly to see us for underwater treadmill appointments with the goals of improving mobility, strengthening hind legs and improving proprioception.
