❄️ Is your chicken coop ready for WINTER? ❄️ Here are a few tips to help get your chickens prepped for winter.

✅ Close up any spots that let in a draft.
✅ Clean out the coop so you are starting fresh!
✅ Add a thick layer of pine shavings. Pine shavings are absorbent and a great insulator.
✅ Set a light timer to make sure your chickens are getting 12-14 hours of light each day.
✅ Consider adding protein and fat to their diet to help keep up their energy during the cold months.
💥 Bonus Tip: Add a De-Odourizer under the bedding to help reduce the ammonia to promote and maintain respiratory health during the months you can't clean the coop as regularly.
