This year we were intentional in choosing how to spend our energy as a family especially with the upcoming holidays. We have been busy bees 🐝 in our home studio and are excited to showcase our work!

This coming Saturday November 23 from 10-2pm, will be joining Holiday Market! We will have a ton of DIY craft kits available along with handmade cards, home decor, ornaments and much more. Come do some holiday shopping this weekend!

“This is one of the best experiences of my LIFE” - exclaimed my 10 year old.

This past Saturday, we put together and walked alongside our first float in our local community Holiday parade. We prepared 250 colouring page treat bags to hand out and we ran out 3/4 of the way through the parade! We are going to have to double that number of treat bags for next year!

We launched our colouring contest for the Holiday season - submissions are due December 14, 2024!

Thanks to the Poplar Hill Lions and the Zavitz family for organizing such a great time!

Went to for some family time this past weekend and it exceeded our expectations! Stone oven pizza under an outdoor pavilion, on-site made alcoholic ciders for Steven and hot sweet apple cider for Amie along with homemade apple cider donuts. Scavenger hunt for the girls, apple picking and pumpkin choosing. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and oh so amazing!

This family run business has been growing since 2002 and it was refreshing to see such a grounded and authentic operation of a farm. Visiting this orchard reminded us that things take time but it’s about the forward motion not the fast pace.

Can’t wait to add this place to our yearly family rhythm or maybe we will find other reasons to visit too!

Proud is an understatement! Over the last couple months, partnered up with to put up a creative booth at the Saturday markets at Komoka Wellness!

Together with the participation of the community, these squares were made by hands of people and stitched together by Amie. We are so happy to see it done and it now will be displayed in the Komoka Library very soon!

Tonight I taught my first adult arts & craft night at my local library! Needle felting was new to this group and many were concerned their pumpkins looked more like basketballs and volleyballs for a bit … but with some time and encouragement and whole lot more striking of the needle into the felt… pumpkins were finally created! Very proud of this group pushing through the anxiety of a new skill. Great to see so many of you proud of your work!

We partnered up with .fdn on Saturday, September 14th to start a HUGE community weaving project at their annual Fit4Care Maggie’s Run.

McCormick has a special place in my family’s heart. My mom has been living at McCormick Home for many years now as her early onset dementia continues to progress and take her away from us. It’s a sad story but we are choosing to make it apart of our story with McCormick.

It was so special to start this beautiful weaving project with the participants of the run and the residents of McCormick. Our work will continue in the months to come as residents, families and people of McCormick will continue to add to this woven wall tapestry. We are so excited to see the process unfold in front of our eyes! 🤍
