Established in 2000 in memory of the late Hans Hansma, the fund has award over $100,000 in scholarships to post-secondary students since its inception. Hans Hansma's legacy continues in the Equine Industry including his leadership in the manage equine clubs and associations he had a hand in establishing.

The development of his Quarter Horse linage continues to show up as the foundation of many successful breeding programs and his family members contribute to the equine industry as we know it today.

The saddle this year was donated by Winston Hansma for the High Point Canadian Youth Champion. The saddle will be awarded to the Youth Champion on Sunday evening during the CCHA Awards Night on Sunday September 29 during the Cutting Horse Futurity hosted by the Calgary Stampede.

The ACHA board members would like to have input from the membership on this years show season and for planning towards next years season. This is an informal meeting, no voting will take place but your input will steer the AGM agenda and motions.

Come hungry to the practice works and grab some grub and beverages. There will be a concession open on the grounds with food and beverages.
Practice pen for fresh cattle works starts at 1pm and used cattle will follow.

Open practice works for anyone looking to work their horses!
With futurity season kicking off this month its a great opportunity to get those youngters out in a new environment with great cattle. Or tune up on the season show horse who is maybe getting a little show smart.
There will be a fresh cattle practice works starting at 1pm at the Nanton Rodeo Grounds. You will get approximately 5 mins in the arena with help from the trainers to turnback with 3 head of fresh cattle. Cost is $200. If you want the same set up at a reduced price, you can opt to have used cattle at the end of the day for $100.

Saturday night we will be hosting the Guy Matheson memorial after the show. Guy was an avid cutter and supporter of the ACHA.
