Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the honor of winning Best Home Based Business at the Spirit of Ladysmith awards! I’m incredibly grateful to be included among such inspiring company, and it’s truly a privilege to be recognized by this wonderful community.

Six years ago, we moved to Ladysmith with hopes of building a home and growing our family, knowing almost nothing about this town. We arrived late on November 30, the night of Ladysmith Light Up, and as we watched the streets come alive with lights and laughter, we knew we had found something special. That moment will forever be part of our story here, and each day since, this community has continued to make us feel right at home.

A huge thank you to the for their support, and to everyone in the community who has trusted, supported, and cheered us on over the years. Your kindness and encouragement mean everything to us. Here’s to many more years of growing together in this beautiful town!

✨ just over 10 years ago, my journey began. I was working as a professional bridal makeup artist and managing a cosmetics counter when I met two dogs that would change my life forever. Candy & Opal, two retired sled dogs that were nervous, skittish and full of anxiety! They taught me patience and compassion. I knew if I changed my career path to pet care I needed to offer a safe space for all types of dogs with fear and anxiety to get the care they deserve. We moved to the island with this in mind and opened Cedar Dog Grooming after 4 years of hard work and a lot of love and support. We celebrated 2 years in business this summer and we can’t express the gratitude we have for this community of fellow dog lovers. We are so proud to be alongside the many incredible people and businesses in Ladysmith we admire and look up to. Thank you 🐾✨
