As we all know, dogs played a huge part in wars. The dog was used for protection, for tracking, warning, bomb detection and bomb delivery.
A little known fact, schipperkes were war heros and were used by the underground to run messages in the dark of night .
They say not one schipperke was caught by the germans , and they say this little stealth and swift black dog may have saved hundreds of lives.
This is my 14 year old schipperke Joey, in the picture .
