Today we welcomed not one but two new pups to the pack!
A big wandering welcome to 6 month old Otis (who I will be referring to as Otis jr from now on) and the massive 7 month old grim!

They both did a fabulous job entering my biggest pack so far! It’s always a bit of a different day when a new dog joins the pack not too mention two and both young puppies to boot, but today was so much fun the pups definitely added a lot more play time into our adventures and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

After all this rain we’ve been having there was so much water to play in and the pack did just that!

** Fridays trail tails**

Today we welcomed Arnold to the pack
What a sweet heart this pup is!! Not to sure about riding in the vehicle yet, we’ll get there.
It can be intimidating to come into such a tight knit pack of dogs but Arnold had no patience all today!

We’re did this sun come from today? I’m not complaining, what a beautiful day exploring new trails!

Just another sunny Friday in the books for this pack!
Packed on some extra Kms today when we took a wrong turn but no one seemed to mind. Couple bears spotted as well but not close enough to be an issue.

Another sunny Friday out on the trails. we were back out at our favourite area, we haven’t been here for a couple months and wow had so much changed! A big paws up to Cowichan Lake Trail Blazers for installing New bridges and new trails and just so much maintenance!!! Nice work team! If you haven’t been out to Fairview trails I definitely urge you check them out.

Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day, the pack spend the days splashing around wherever they could! So many scents today, the elk we’re here not long ago along with some fresh bear s**t, we actually ran into the culprit soon after! That proved two things. 1- bear bells work! The bear heard the pack coming and got in the tree before we passed. 2- this pack is amazing, not one sound was made they barely noticed the bear was there I called them all to my side and we slowly kept moving past. Good job pack!!!!

Another amazing day with a amazing bunch of pups, Fridays pack welcomed jack back in. He’s such a good boy and is just a perfect addition to this group of dogs! Not many warm sunny days left this summer so we made the most of it with lots of river swimming!

Another perfect day on the trails with such a good little pack! Lots of water to play in and we worked on some impulse control using the “follow me” method for short intervals, everyone did great! Pablo met a lot more dogs today and became Otis’s new bestie right away! Lots of new smells and even a new trail for some of the pack!

Fridays pack hike was everything! Sun,water,dirt and sticks, just what the doctor ordered!
So nice to be back with my favourite fur babies.
They call them man’s best friend and I can vouch for that! Everyone was so excited to see each other and on their best behaviour out on the trail!

** UPDATE **

Hello everyone

I have some good news starting this Friday I am going to be doing pack hikes again!! I’m very excited to get back on the trails with some of my best four legged buddies!

If you want your dog on the list please comment below or direct message me(priority will be going to dogs I have previously hiked with) if your new please don’t hesitate to set up a meet and greet!

It will be my regular scheduled program. 2hrs approx. pack hike with pick up/drop off . Lots of treats and pets involved.

I’m sorry for the lack of updates recently. Its not easy for me to say or accept that I’m not able to be as active as I usually am or even walk properly,even more so that I was really starting to but real bonds and relationships with all of my pack members it breymy heart. This is not the way this was supposed to go.
but I was able to go up island today to get my back procedure done and it went as well as I could ask for. This means a three week recovery period. And then my paternity leave is up.
This doesn’t mean I am quitting on wondering tails. This just means when I’m am fully healed it will look a lot different for a time. I am going to get a Friday pack going as soon as I can to start with.

I can’t say this enough but thank you to everyone that has trusted me with their fur baby thus far, I have enjoyed my time with them more than anyone will ever know! Tell them all I miss them please.

I’m so sorry to say I won’t be able to hike today,
I have ended up with a ambulance ride to the hospital. I will keep everyone posted on next weeks hikes. Not looking good tho.

Wednesdays trail tails

As summer is here the trails and lake are getting busier by the day, we had lots of encounters on our hike, by both people and lots of loose dogs I had my pack on lead for most of them and we didn’t have one issue! This is where I really like having bells on the pups. Takes away the element of surprise.

Nothing but wagging tails, blue skys and clear water!
