We get to know their needs and personalities, and can help you choose the one that will be a good fit for you. With their health and wellbeing in mind, our animals are spayed/neutered, socialized, and have had their shots - all included in one reasonable adoption fee.

Once upon a time, in a shelter far, far away… Shrek and Fiona are looking for their forever kingdom! 💚🏰

These playful, cuddly Bulldog/Mastiff mix puppies are just 2 months old and ready to grow into loyal, loving companions. They’ll likely become very large, so they need a family committed to plenty of exercise, training, and of course, love!

What you need to know:
- They will need basic obedience and house training
- Not tested with cats or other dogs, but should do well with slow, proper introductions
- We encourage potential adopters to first research Mastiff/Bulldog breeds to ensure they’re a perfect fit!

Time for another 💚 A huge, heartfelt thank you to the incredible team Paulmac’s Pets Peterborough and the amazing community members who came together to make such a meaningful impact! 🐾 Your generosity has filled our hearts with love and essentials for the animals here at LAWS.

Thanks to your kindness, we received over 318 cans of food, 9 bags of litter, 18 bags of treats, bowls, scoops, and toys - everything our cats and kittens need to feel safe and cared for 🐱

From all of us at LAWS, thank you for helping us give our furry friends the best lives possible 🙏

This is the perfect chance to meet our adorable, adoptable cat and kittens who are patiently waiting for their forever homes. We have plenty of sweet cats and kittens with unique personalities—come find your "purrfect" match! 🐱

Meet Daisy, our sweet special needs kitten with a heart as big as her personality! 💖

Daisy is a bright, spunky, and endlessly curious little soul who has thrived in her foster home with the support of her foster parents and a friendly adult cat companion. Her days are filled with playful adventures, lots of toys, and the sweetest chin rubs you’ll ever see.

Due to her unique needs, Daisy has a little circling routine she performs—usually around her food bowls or furniture. It’s just her way of staying active, and it doesn’t stop her from enjoying a full, happy kitten life! She’s a pro at using her litter box (a low edge one is best) and keeps her energy up with plenty of snacks and water.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s both adorable and resilient, Daisy could be the perfect match. She’s searching for a forever family who can offer her a bit of extra TLC and lots of cuddles. Could Daisy be the special addition you’ve been waiting for? 💕

The Cheesy Fromage- Lakefield and over 30 incredible businesses in Lakefield came together for a pet-friendly trick-or-treat event filled with pumpkin carving, pet photos, raffles, and more - all in support of our shelter's furry residents! 🐶🐱

for Inspiration Tattoo & Piercing ✨

This week we had our friends from Inspiration Tattoo & Piercing stop by the shelter to deliver a donation of $4,830 and supplies from our wish list from their successful Paw Print Days event! The event was a huge success with 68 clients reveiving a tattoo. We are incredibly grateful for the team at Inspiration Tattoo & Piercing for hosting this wonderful fundraiser and for everyone who participated in the event and donated for thinking of all the animals at LAWS.
