Info from animal control in Port Coquitlam. The dog abuser has been released from custody already.
The dog is currently safe, however, in order to ensure that he cannot get this dog back everyone who witnessed him abusing the dog needs to make sure the RCMP and SPCA BOTH have your statements with date and specifics. Please immediately call in ANY and ALL previous sightings or interactions you might have had in the past regarding this situation. If at any point you saw him hit the dog, throw the dog, kick the dog, yell at the dog, drag the dog, shove the dog in a bag etc it is all relevant please report it so they can keep the dog safe. Animals are considered possessions, in this country and therefore, if there is not a strong enough case, they will not be able to keep the dog safe. The more calls they get the better.
