𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐀 𝐖𝐑𝐀𝐏, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟑 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬. But like any show, it's more than just a show... 𝒾𝓉'𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓅𝑒𝑜𝓅𝓁𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝓂𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓂𝒶𝓀𝑒 𝒾𝓉 𝒶 𝓈𝓊𝒸𝒸𝑒𝓈𝓈.

- We had some much needed 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 from Lorianne, Teresa, Gill & Allison, I couldn't have made it through the weekend without these ladies.
- We had both 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘦 & 𝘉𝘰𝘯𝘻𝘰'𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯 𝘶𝘴 for the last show, so a big thanks to Maria & Phil and Lesley & Michael for making the trek out.
- We had 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 from fellow exhibitors to Judge Barbara Arndt who took the time to express her admiration of Max.
- We had some challenges to overcome such as this being Bonzo's very 1st dog show and Charlie being in heat.

Overall the weekend brought a range of emotions from lows to highs, the highlight was 𝕄𝕒𝕩 𝕨𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝔹𝕣𝕖𝕖𝕕 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕗𝕚𝕟𝕚𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕙𝕚𝕤 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕞𝕡𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡! ⁣This was especially exciting because not only did I solely handle Max but he is our *1st Homebred Champion*!

We are getting ready for a show this weekend. We will have Charlie, Max, and Bonzo. Charlie & Max have been to a few shows now but this is a first for Bonzo. Wish us luck!

This was an extra special litter for us since we kept back Max to stay with us and Charlie to stay with Lesley & Michael 💙🩷

Today I took Aleah out to a Canine Good Neighbour (CGN) test... she failed. The CGN is a 12 part test, designed to evaluate a dogs manners & reliability in various situations. A dog must demonstrate that it is capable in ALL 12 areas in order to pass the test. Aleah was exemplary and had everyone admiring her easy going and obedient behaviour throughout the test, except when it came to 1 area 'Supervised Isolation'. This is when you hand the lead to a stranger and walk away from your dog for 3 minutes, there can be no signs of stress such as pulling on the lead, excessive whining or barking, etc. Aleah whined as I walked away and cried for me the entire time, because she couldn't calmly accept my absence, she failed the test 🤦‍♀️. This won't come as a surprise to anyone who knows Aleah, she's pretty attached to me.

I'm sharing this because people and businesses often only share their accomplishments on Facebook. It can appear that others are always excelling, passing, winning but I'm here to tell you they aren't... they just don't share about their setbacks, fails, or defeats. But this is part of life, everyone faces setbacks even with our dogs. So dont feel alone when you try something with your dog and don't quite reach your goal, we've all been there. So here's our fail for the day, it's not the first time we've haven't met the mark and it won't be the last. But we will take it as a learning opportunity, a chance to look at how we can improve, and use it as our motivation to keep going until we reach our goal. We will practice with Aleah going with others for short periods and do the test again... next time she will pass.
