🐴 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒚 𝑹𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔!

We are looking for casual barn workers with experience working with horses. Hours to be scheduled in the PM: afternoon, and possibly into the early evening.

Primary duties include stuffing hay-nets, feeding, stall cleaning and maintenance, bringing horses in and turning horses out, and clearing cobwebs and sweeping aisles. Secondary duties as required may include arena harrowing, assist with fence repair, tack cleaning, help with grooming and tacking up, and occasionally assisting instructors by guiding/leading horses during group riding lessons.

Potential to earn higher than minimum wage and lots of room for growth, depending on your experience and skill level!

Compensation is paid at an hourly rate.

Sunny Riding Stables is a riding farm located in Langley, just off the 216 Street, HWY 1 exit.

Our riders use a mounting block to make it easier to climb onto a horse, and likewise this is more physically comfortable for the horse. Mounting from an elevated position helps prevent saddle slippage, puts less strain & stretch on the stirrup leather, and protects the shape of the saddle tree, which can become twisted through repeat pressure of riders mounting from the ground or a low height.

Sunny Riding Stables in Langley, BC is looking to add another ENGLISH HORSE RIDING COACH to our team, to instruct children and adults riders from beginner through intermediate levels.

Must have at least 10 years English riding and horse handling experience, and have patience and love for horses and people.

Valid standard first aid, criminal record check, and experience giving horse riding lessons on and off the lunge required. Applicants with NCCP and Equestrian Canada credentials will be given preference.

Position can be combined with some pm barn chore hours.

For work reliability, must have access to a vehicle to drive to work.

- Instruct basic horse handling, grooming, tacking and riding of horses to children and adults from beginner through intermediate levels, in one-to-one private lessons, 2 students semi-private lessons, or in groups of maximum 5 students, indoors and/or outdoors;
- Exemplify at all times proper and safe horsemanship;
- Feeding, exercising and grooming horses, and some stable management duties, such as stall cleaning and feeding may be assigned.
