There were always at least two dogs in her home and a cat or two! Michaela started dog walking when she felt like she was in a rut with her corporate life. With a background in management, graphic design, customer service, and admin, Michaela used all the skills she’s acquired to build a successful business that she loves and is passionate about. Every single day with her furry BFFs is a blessing!

Many of our clients have mentioned that Michaela has a calm and confident demeanour around dogs of all shapes and sizes. Because of this, we specialize in working with dogs who have extra needs or may struggle with anxiety. ✨ Last-minute magic at our dog grooming salon! ✨

Today was a whirlwind, but nothing brings me more joy than helping our clients—both furry and human—look their best for special occasions. 🐶💖 I received a call from a lovely couple who realized they had forgotten to groom their adorable Yorkie-mix before their wedding day! 💍

With only a few hours to spare, I jumped into action! ✂️✨ I transformed their pup with a fresh cut and pampering session that left him looking absolutely stunning. The smiles on their owners’ faces were priceless! 😍

✨ This week at , I had the pleasure of grooming a lot of double-coated dogs, which is truly my specialty! 🐶 From fluffy to fabulous, transforming their gorgeous fur is what I love most. Today, I had the joy of grooming Luna, a stunning Samoyed with a coat as fluffy as a cloud. ☁️

Samoyeds are known for their friendly, gentle nature and their iconic “Sammy smile.” Their beautiful white fur requires extra care and attention. (Have you ever tried brushing out cotton candy? That’s Samoyed fur for you! 🍭) I think Luna left our salon looking radiant and feeling refreshed. 😉💖

Why yes, I am a miracle worker! 💁🏽‍♀️

This Great Pyrenees mix, Mr. Jake, strolled in looking every bit the hardworking farm dog he is—matted, filthy, and tangled with debris. 😳 I took a deep breath and got to work, transforming this mess into a beauty queen! 💅🏽

The before-and-after is ✨stunning✨, and while you can’t touch his fur through the screen, trust me—it’s a complete transformation. I told his owner to enjoy those snuggles while he’s soft and silky!

Miss Roxy was NOT excited for her groom, so it was difficult to get a good picture of her.

This sweet mini Aussie Shepherd had a matted butt with grass, twigs, & p**p stuck in her fur. After a DEEP cleansing bath, lots of brushing, some light trimming, and MORE brushing, I got Roxy back to a silky and soft coat.

There’s a lot of elbow grease that goes into grooming, but that beautiful, shiny coat makes it worth it! 💪🏽✨

Mickey came to me EXTREMELY matted. His dad tried to shave out his mats and he accidentally cut him. (No shame because even professional groomers have done this…including myself!)

Here’s the deal: mats that are thick and close to the skin, which usually takes months of neglecting your dog’s coat, are very dangerous to remove with clippers, brushes, and dematting tools. It’s because the fur will mat so tightly against the skin that it becomes very difficult to see where the fur ends and the skin begins. When shaving out mats, it’s super easy for skin to get caught in your clippers. Dematting tools are sharp and can cut skin quite easily. There are certain danger zones on a dog that require CAREFUL attention.

There are many reasons why a dog might develop matting and it’s not my place to judge. My job is to help the dog and their owner and to provide education when needed. Just don’t be surprised if I recommend that we shave your dog! 😉

You’re NOT a bad person because your dog is matted, but I will say this: ✨DOODLE OWNERS✨…brush your pups (I can show you how) or bring them to me on a consistent schedule. ☺️

P.S. I have TWO doodles with very different coats, so I know the struggle firsthand. This is why I keep my dogs’ fur quite short as I don’t have the patience to brush them all the time. 🤘🏽
