Following his Silver medal winning team performance in Paris, Daniel Bachmann Andersen is heading to High Point on September 14 to give an all day masterclass - young horses through to the Grand Prix. Numbers are limited and can be found on the link below.

Ahead of his masterclass, so the evening of Friday 13, Daniel will sit down for an in depth discussion to talk about his career to date; his horses, ethics and the highs and lows of competing at the top of sport. He will also be talking about his experience at this years Olympic Games in Paris and the future of equestrian sport.

International Dressage Trainer Dieter Laugks

Dieter Laugks is a international successful Dressage Trainer and Rider. Further on he is one of the most experienced Lawyers for Horse Law in Germany, running the Law Firm Laugks & Westhoff in Düsseldorf.

He started his Dressage Career at the German Olympic Committee DOKR in Warendorf, training several years with Harry Boldt.
He was German Vice Champion Dressage and became three times Rheinland Dressage Champion.

He has been Member of the German Dressage Squad more than 10 years with 4 different Horses and won several Nation Cups with the German Dressage Team.

Dieter Laugks is one of the Top Trainers in the Dressage world. He was Trainer of British Fiona Bigwood up to the Olympic Games in Athen, made Sonja Bolz winning the First Piaffe Förderpreis in Germany for U25 Riders. He led Austrian Diana Porsche within 4 years from L-Level up to being No. 1 of the FEI World Dressage Ranking for U25.
In the USA he was training Diane Creech and Yvonne Losos de Muniz during the Wellington Season 2016 and has been Trainer of Charlotte Jorst in the USA 2016/2017.
Currently, as a trainer, he brought the Canadian rider Ryan Torkkeli into the international Grand Prix sport within 2 years. After Ryan Torkkeli competed in a Grand Prix competition for the first time at the end of 2020, he took part in the 2021 CHIO Aachen and in 2022 at the World Equestrian Games WEG Herning with the Canadian team on the horse Sternenwandern trained by Dieter Laugks.

**Update for those attending or planning to attend**
Daniel Bachmann Andersen Masterclass moving to September.

Due to Daniel’s outstanding performance at Herning, he has been asked to compete in a further show ahead of selections for the Olympic Games in Paris.

This next competition unfortunately coincides with our clinic dates on April 5th-7th. Daniel has felt very torn, but has been wonderful throughout in reaching a compromise, as he is very much looking forward to visiting BC. He has agreed to reschedule our clinic for September, hopefully with an Olympic medal in hand and with lots of stories to share!

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but hope that all understand the importance of the Olympic cycle, as we wish Daniel every success in gaining a team spot.

Daniel extends his gratitude to the community, assuring ticket holders that their tickets will remain valid for the definite September event on Sept 1.

🐴 Equine Community! 🐴

Exciting news: After consulting with Dr. Hodge, I'm happy to announce that both Dr. Hodge and Dr. Parsons (internal specialist) have lifted our quarantine protocols!

Rigorous testing for infectious diseases and viruses have shown negative results, with a diagnosis of “Equine Encephalomyelitis”, which is not contagious.

While ongoing investigations into its exact cause continue, it has been definitively determined that this condition does not pose a threat to the barn and community.

I am so proud and grateful for the incredible support from our barn, boarders, staff, friends, and vets during this past week.

We are extremely fortunate to have such an amazing barn family here at Highpoint Equestrian Centre! 💞

In brighter news for us all here at High Point, we are absolutely delighted to say that Team World Champion in Dressage, Daniel Bachmann Andersen will be heading to High Point Equestrian on Saturday 6th April 2024 to give a symposium where he will show his training across the levels.

Daniel will work with horse and riders from young horses up to the higher levels of dressage, as he talks about his ethos and training methods that have led him to great success at the highest level of the sport, including World Cups, Europeans Championships and more.

Riding for Denmark in Dressage, Daniel is currently ranked 9th in the FEI World Rankings. He competed at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon 2018 and at the European Dressage Championships in 2015 and 2019. Alongside Nanna Merrald Rasmussen on Blue Hors Zack, Carina Cassøe Krüth on Heiline's Danciera and Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Vamos Amigos, Daniel achieved the Gold Medal at the 2022 World Championships riding Marshall-Bell.

Please note that on January 24th 2024, High Point Equestrian Centre had a horse exhibiting neurological symptoms similar to EHV-1. Despite multiple negative test results, we are treating the illness with caution and have implemented strict quarantine measures.

As soon as additional information becomes available, we will promptly update you. We understand the significance of this issue within our community and remain dedicated to the well-being of all our horses, as well as yours. We kindly request that you adhere to our policy of no haul-ins or visitors until we have gathered all necessary information.

We urge you to take this time to communicate with your staff and review your biosecurity protocols. While the cause and specific nature of this illness remain uncertain, we are grateful for our established practices, and thankfully, no other horses in the barn are displaying symptoms.

Your patience and understanding during this challenging period are greatly appreciated.
