Candy Crush imported Polish Pony (yes! That’s a registry!) staying home from Tbird this week but finally some sun our perfect to do some cross training - after all even as a fancy Hunter pony he’ll have a kid of his own one day who wants to play! (And… Kylie only has to use her reins to keep the starved beast from grass - another key pony training skill!)
Nyell Kysershof at Thunderbird May 2024
Nyell Keysershof 2018 KWPN gelding imported by Footnote Farm in February. Getting the hang of how we do things in North America taking home first in both of his Baby Green Hunter classes today in a big field of 40 quality young horses.

If you spend a lifetime with horses... you will SEE some things that amaze you.
I have bred horses, foaled out horses, seen horses die... I have a mare, Lisa, the unicorn for those that know her shes's pretty special. She has one surviving foal that she delivered, Max, he lives on the farm. She tolerates him as any middle aged mom would of a son who never moved out of the basement. She had another live foal who sadly died of a rare defect at 6 weeks old... she keened for that foal and it broke my heart. Since she has had 2 foals by embryo transfer. Footnote's La-Di-Da (aka Lady) is just like her and is here on the farm. Lady is a year old and has never been with her biological mother as she was raised by a surrogate and when weaned lived with the other youngsters and my senior.
Now, anyone who knows Lisa KNOWS that she suffers no fools and reigns like the queen she is.
Today, I put Lady and Lisa in turn out together. I filmed it on my iphone and I have NEVER in all my days of turning out new field mates have I seen an interaction like I did today. It was like they had always been together. Like they knew eachother... sent chills... honoured to witness... and sure makes you wonder... about alot of things.... Enjoy. My heart is full.
“Lisa” spreading holiday cheer with the whole family
