Check out our Good Boy Wilson! Some of our excellent horses spend the winters at a local riding stable - A&T Equestrian (aandtequestrian). Wilson has been working on his jumping skills and has rapidly become a fan favourite over there. Great Job Wilson!

What is National Horse Day? National Horse Day is celebrated every December 13. It's a day to remember the economic, historic, and cultural contributions that horses have made! We celebrated National Horse Day with our excellent herd of gentle trail horses here at Glen Valley Stables.

Our gentle giant Sam spent his morning with the lovely Penelope at the West Coast Equine Spa. Sam got to enjoy the royal treatment in preparation for a Barat wedding ceremony Friday morning. When he finished his hot water bath, he got to hang out in their beautiful solarium under the warm lights while he dried off. Thanks Penelope and West Coast Equine Spa! Sam looks forward to coming back again!

Our nice guy Thor returned to work after a couple months of some well deserved R&R. This classy gelding picked up right where he left off - in good boy mode. Thors favourite thing to do on a ride is teach his riders how to trot with his easy jog. Heck, a person could ride it all day it’s so smooth!

Thor is well trained, gentle and has just enough s***k to make him a favourite of many of our riders here at Glen Valley Stables. Today, our horse Dude went to the Port in Delta to support the ILWU Local 514 lockout. He did an outstanding job handing out donuts and providing moral support for those on the picket line. We love our safe, kind horses who are ready to step up for whatever job we ask of them!

If you would like to ride one of our lovely horses, we are open on Remembrance Day, November 11th and beyond. Please note that due to the time change last weekend, our latest ride times end at 4pm to avoid riding in the dark for the safety of horses and humans.

Today is dentist day for some of our valued team members. A horse's teeth grow continuously throughout their life, so it is important to have their teeth professionally looked at annually. Like humans, some horses have great teeth. Others are not so lucky.

Pictured here is our yearling c**t, Turbo! This was his first time wearing the speculum and having his teeth checked. He did great! 🦄
