This beautiful litter of Islay z Canczech and Pogo z Veronikinho (“Kato”) was born January 25th. Titles, pedigrees, and more information is available on our website. Both dogs are incredibly balanced being able to socialize with other animals, children, new faces, and work seriously in protection and sport. We're really pleased with what we’re seeing from these puppies already.

How many breeds can you count? 🤣

We might be just a bit biased toward the German Shepherd Dog breed but certainly appreciate and enjoy all the unique characteristics of other breeds. We have worked and owned many breeds of dogs over our 40+ years of experience.

WARRIOR WEDNESDAY! We work with intention.

Placing a muzzle on a puppy or adult dog is an important hassle-free skill they must learn. This takes a few fun training methods we use when training our puppies and adult dogs. This makes putting on the muzzle much easier for the handler without a struggle.

Exposing a puppy to a fireman carry serves many purposes, aside from being cute. Police or military may need to carry their injured working K9 out of a distant location. Also applicable to any handler who may need to carry their own dog out of a sticky situation. Trying to teach an adult dog to learn comfort with this has the added difficulty of an adult dog’s size and weight.

We can’t emphasize enough how much we value a balanced and stable mind in our dogs. These traits are essential in a strong dog capable of working roles including personal/family protection, police and military K9s, search and rescue, and services dogs (just to name a few). The bonds formed between our dogs and their families/handlers are very important for enabling the dogs to thrive in their roles.

Here is one of our puppies grown and in training as an avalanche search and rescue dog with his extremely experienced handler.

They have to do a lot of interesting training together, some of which they come and share with us! We appreciate and enjoy learning from others!

Once upon a time it was the night before Christmas and Vader was ready … for the naughty list!

Vader was an amazing Canczech Dog with foundational puppy training before going to a USA police department where he was an absolute star. He received a number of high achievement awards for his work on duty, some of which are displayed on our website. He was also used as a stud given his excellent traits.

Vader has since passed but had an amazing career and retirement with his handler and family!
