2025 is the year to make things a little bit easier for everybody! Online booking is going to be available for clients that are already in our system as of February 1st.

Booking will be available up to three months in advance. We are hoping to use this as a trial to see if it lightens some of the back-and-forth stress of booking.

Silent Hunt - Can you work your dog in silence 🤫
Silent hunt consists 1,2, or 3 rats in a marked off search area. As the handler you must remain still and silent until rat is called. Working distance and independence as your pup hunts.

Rat in the Garden- Outdoor search area in a yard/garden 🌲Dogs run off or on leash. New environments to play rat.

Rat Race - How fast is your dog! 35 secs to start and find the first rat. Each rat you find earns you another 30sec to hunt. 4 rats no litter or tunnels 🏎️ 💨

It’s getting chilly outside! Why not take a warm bath and relax 🛀 this spicy girl started working with me as multiple salon turn away case. I really didn’t have to do anything training wise to help her be comfortable with the groom.

She has a strong personality and we just mesh well together. Understanding her behaviours and building a relationship is all it took for her to have a good time at the salon.

Dogs are like people, LOTS of different personalities. There are dogs I have groomed that work fine with me but if one of my team grooms them they glow. Not every dog will mesh with every groomer. Be open to options as well as our knowledge if we mention that fluffy would work well with so and so, most times it’s because of that groomers routine and style may work better for certain behaviours.

Now like I said all dogs are different, we have clients that are great with everybody and that works for them also all the team loves them for it so we don’t have to fight over who gets to groom Tippy haha 😆

So grateful for everyone who came out to play with Chauvet. 💦 We kicked it off with the Jumpin’ Rat Splash it was an outdoor barnhunt and dock diving fun match. 🌊 Portuguese Water Dog Fundraiser and Trial ✂️ PWD Grooming Seminar 🎃 A Spooky Happy Ratter event in Urban crittering. As well as a fun games day. 🎄 Weekend of Happy Ratter Clinics at @extraordinarycanines Not including all our fantastic new Barn Hunt teams that joined our novice class and PWD teams that came out to play in our intro to water course. Don’t forget to prep your coats! One more week until our PWD grooming lesson. Here is a little tip on how to prepare your dog for grooming. A common problem I hear is the clippers won’t go through the coat, most times it’s because the coat has not been prepped for clippering. Make sure when you are drying your pup their coat is 100% dry and mat free. Spending a little extra time drying will save you more than minutes on the table with clippers. Also aids with brushing. We still have some space in our class if you’re interested please feel free to message me or email [email protected] for more details. We also have auditing spots available ☺️
